so im trying to find money making building plugins etc
but not cheats, but ive forgoten what the term is for um so if some1 can tell me?
i did know i think it was a 3 letter word but forgot, n tryd googling it but dint work argh
and while ya here let me no of some money maing buildings :)

having a 4billion cheat would be crazy but to have genuine money making buildings would make the game seem les demanding :)

I suggest you simply download the 'extra cheats dll' library which simply enables the developers' debug commands and forget wasting real estate for money lots.  Use the moolah command instead.  Just open the command box (CTRL+x) and type

 

moolah <NewBalance>

 

and hit enter.  This sets the balance of the treasury to whatever you like (within reason) and can be used as often as needed.  <NewBalance> is just an unpunctuated number, and you can set it to 0 for a real difficult time if you like.

 

Once you've correctly loaded this library, if you open the command box and right click in it, you get a list of all possible commands.

 

And by the way, you can't cheat a single player game.  That is strictly between you and your conscience, because who would you be cheating if you simply apply some knowledge?

Agree with A Nonny otherwise there is a money tree on the stex. :) Although I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for.

You can change each setting on every lot with the Leprop that comes with Ilives reader.

You can change the setting of how much for

Garbage

Lot plop

Radiation

Air polution

Or how much the lot cost each month

Or how much the lost earn every month

You can let each lot earn 999999.- simdollora each month.

Search for ilives reader make the lot ploppable and customize it with

the Leprod that included with the reader.

Uhmmm,maybe you are talking about buildings that produce some monthly income like SOMY`s Mixing Vats.They might be expensive t buy (310.000 Simoleons i think) but give you a monthly income of 2000 Simoleons,and you can build as many as you want.

    so things like this is good wether its $2000 or $50 dolla a month, this is a tad expensive but im sure ita come in handy lol

    That is not very realistic.  The only money you get from buildings is taxes.

     

    Moolah is a matter of a divine grant-in-aid, and if you are honest about it, you'll take it back when the city can afford it.

    Moolah is a matter of a divine grant-in-aid, and if you are honest about it, you'll take it back when the city can afford it.

     

    Personally I think of moolah as an FHWA grant, because I always use it when I build RHW. That eats up a lot of money because you're pretty much building things over and over again because, well, if you used RHW, you'd know what I mean.

     That eats up a lot of money because you're pretty much building things over and over again because, well, if you used RHW, you'd know what I mean.

     

     

     

    That's for sure! It's so satisfying, though, once you make everything work. Actually, I was amazed after retro-fitting RHW systems into some cities with only a few hundred grand; the whole 'project' cost only tens of thousands, and the monthly budget is lower, thanks to removing the high-maintenance Maxis highways.

    Also, there are some 'money' parks that give you an extra boost to your treasury every month.  Just do a search on the STEX for 'Money Park'.  IMO it easier to plop a park than typing in the moola cheat....but to each their own.

    The main point about the moolah command is the absolute control.  Money parks, etc. can overflow your treasury.

    True, but the park is deleted easily enough if your treasury gets close to the tipping point.  Also the parks come in increments so you can pick the one that will overcome your deficit and give you a reasonable income.

    What I did was to tune the NAM to produce some income from all of my roads and avenues. I started it as a way to collect tolls uniformly (and because I was too lazy to build toll booths everywhere), but now I consider it a "gasoline tax".

    I calibrated it to my own taste for slow but steady growth with only those city services that are needed to release the next phase of development (i.e. fairly conservative). Not only does it tip my budget from slightly negative to slightly positive, but it might nudge some commuters out of their cars.

    Plop the park, let a few weeks go by and then demolish the park? Some money parks even give you literally billions (the one I use gives 4 billion or 4 trillion, something like that) right after a month of play so you do not need to wait at all to do pause and demolish it.

     

    Though cheats are highly subjective in this games, IMO such buildings is just "cheats" like the moolah code (which I do not use for convenience purposes) since you appear to be not keen in the codes because of cheating concerns.

     

    Some specific mods or lots might give extra funds in taxes or funds. There is an agricultural mod that gives you extra revenue in taxes per year depending on how much agriculture you have in your city.

     

    If you are not plopping a lot of expensive stuff right from the start then you might not need anything though. Just be vigilant at the education and health funding and you will likely do a profit very fast.

    Yeah. And there's also a "utility" in the «RCI multi» mod (right here on the StEx) that does something on your taxes (it amplifies them or such) so you end up earning big with just the regular taxes (and of course you should always lower them according to growth stages).

    And the cool thing is that you don't have to install the whole thing (I'n not very fond of RCI/demand mods): you can use just the tax utility! ;)

    Any more mature city will get into the profitability zone. At the core of the game, at least as the developers originally imagined it, is solving the problem that only higher income people pay enough taxes to pay for costly public services, but only public services will produce and attract higher income people. Which means that, if you want to play the game "without cheats", you just have to roll out your services (library, schools, fire stations, etc., later parks) slowly enough to not bankrupt your city. It's not really a big problem. It's just adjusting the sliders and having patience.

     

    After you have done this a few times, you will know how it works and will, most of the time, not make any mistakes anymore. And that's where you just type in "moolah 500,000" or whatever you have in mind, in the full knowledge that your city will soon be printing money anyway.
