    jeronij,

I agree that we should just try and see what the ends of the cables look like (the cable anchor points).

Street lights work differently than BAT night lighting.  I can change the size of the light cones, but I will not need to if the new streetlights are the same height as the standard ones used by the game.

I agree that using props for the signs is best if there are separate left and right hand drive versions of the bridge.  A good way to do it would be to have a version of a prop for left hand drive and a version of a prop for right hand drive.  The two prop versions would share the same instance ID.

    For all your instance ID

Are these two bridges going to be in the new(est) NAM, as well as the large suspension bridge by jeronij?

    Can I ask that:
    - this bridge be made into a concrete railway bridge and a street bridge?
    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//smoncrie%20newbridge1.jpg align=baseline>
    - The bribge in the middle be transformed into a road bridge?
    <ahttp://img42.imageshack.us/img42/641/bridge22bq.jpg align=baseline>

Of course, this is a request to make these new bridges avaliable for more networks, not a request to COMPLETELY CHANGE the bridge's current networks.

Otherwise, the bridges look great! =) Keep up the good work!
I will wait for their release patiently....

    Allan

    smoncrie and jeronij

    Congratulations!!! 44.gif

Both of you are doing excelent work with that model bridges.

I always wished there were more bridges, for trains and cars.

Like the one's from PEG, it would be excelent if his (Draft,Lift and Swing bridges) would be possible to use on normal rivers and not only on canals!
why don't you ask him if you could use his drawings to make the same bridges for real rivers.

I hope my new PC comes fast, because from just looking i am getting hungry!!25.gif
Im starting my own CJ after that of an american city, and hope to start designing some structures to.

Please keep going! hope to see more bridges like the one's you are doing.18.gif

Special request: can you do more old and simple bridges to cars and trains, from wood and steel, some of them were already exampled at this thread!

Three hips to both of you!!39.gif

PS: im sorry about my english, and for not posting any image, i just take to long to do it, and i am at my lunch break.

screamingman12 and Dr. Frickenstein yes those bridges will be in the NAM.  The Tsing Ma Bridge will probably be added as an elevated highway bridge.  The part that that makes it work as a double deck bridge may, or may not, be included as an optional part of the NAM.

allan_kuan1992, I could make rail and street versions of this bridge, but I am not sure how good they would look or what rail track textures to use (the Maxis rail bridges use several different rail track textures).   I had been thinking of one-way and avenue versions, but I was not sure if anyone was interested.

A road version of the rural street bridge is possible but the space is a bit narrow so I am not sure if it would look OK.

Aspire, a double deck highway bridge could be made, but at this time, I do not plan to make one.

Although I don't have anything to contribute right now (I am still trying to get the hang of GMax), I would like to take this opportunity to say that...

These bridges are incredible! Simply amazing work! I definitely can't wait until I can put these in my cities.44.gif

So, anyways, nice work guys. This will probably be something that I could help out with in the semi-near future. Good luck!

Marvellous work on the Tsing Ma Bridge. I have a few suggestions regarding to the bridge though.

    1. The piers at the ends of the bridge are not neccessary. Although they are present in the suspension bridge in the game, they rarely are in reality in terms of suspension bridges.
    2. It would be nice to have an option of rail and GLR just like the original example you were trying. It would also be fabulous to have parallel tracks instead of just one.

By the way, is the bridge going to be at a fixed length (work as one piece) or will it work just like other bridges in the game?

I believe they are gonna try and release these as puzzle pieces rater than complete bridges. There was a disscussion earlier of trying to include the bridges in the maxis bridge options but I believe it was found impossible because they are built into the game

allan_kuan1992, I was originally thinking of making one-way and avenue versions of the level road bridge shown in your first picture (my first bridge), but I am not sure if any one is interested.  It could also be converted to street and rail, but I am not sure how they would look.

I am also not sure how the street bridge, shown in your second picture, would look as a road bridge since streets are a bit narrower than roads.

ILL Tonkso, that bridge looks very nice. Have you divided it into one tile pieces?
The arches will probably mean that this will be one of the more complicated bridges to mod (oh well
