Whats This Brown Banner?

Anyone else seeing the "Today We Fight Back" banner that's displaying only on Simtropolis.com at the bottom of the screen?   Is this a Simtrop ad and can it get blocked?

Had it popping up about an hour ago each time I went on Simtropolis. While the goal of it is good it took up over a 1/4th of my 1680x1050 monitor.

Read the reference thread, looks like its happened before. I wonder how they manage to override popup blockers?  do you think it may be an Invision Power Services ad sponsor?  If so, nothing we can do but to put up with it for its duration.

As Dirk said, it was intentional.  Simtropolis participated in the February 11 protest against the United States government and its increasing regulation and invasion of privacy on the internet.

I didn't see it most of the time, (Because I am using AdBlock. ) but I did see it when using the mobile site.

Even I use Adblocker, last night at 8:00 PM the thing showed up. Stuff like this tends to be regional and mobile/desktop related.
