Hi,

What ploppable trees do you use?

I am currently using this and I really love it but its seasonal one is 2*2

I want both seasonal & evergreen (bright & beautiful) ploppable trees those are 1*1.

Thank you :)

If you want to go into MMPs (mayor-mode ploppables), I recommend Marsh's list:

https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=13459.0

There is more stuff available, like more from girafe. Btw, you get much nicer seasonal trees than the ones you use from cycledogg (c.p.) from his mods in that list.

Finding MMPs with single trees is a bit more difficult. Those from c.p. are single (you cycle through different species per click), or girafe's poplars, or the VIP aesculus and fagus.

Edit: Just to make it clear, the stuff I linked are not lots. Those MMPs get directly plopped on the ground.

There's pretty much any type of tree you'd like in MMP floating around the various exchanges. Do to my location, I typically use trees that are from the north east of the US. Mainly pines & deciduous trees.

Find that I use the 1x1 trees in the SFBT Diagonal Filler lots mod more than any other. https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=1197  It has a good mixture that's close to my local area. Cept for that dang occasional palm that rares it's ugly head, but I just delete and replace till no palms pop up. If I was good enough at modding, I'd probably take it out of the set so it didn't pop up at all.

Due to my laptop being subpar, I'm unable to use the actually seasonal type trees. Have been looking for a good set of trees that are in the autumn colors, not actually seasonal. So far only found the ones that come with the PARIS Quais de Seine Trees MMP mod.

Actually, if you set these up correctly, they won't show any palm trees. I use those, too. No palm trees. I think you set this up with the street mod resources.

On the other hand, I also use this: https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=646

Have to admit a bit confused at what you mean not setting them up correctly? or with the street mod resources?

I currently use the Japanese Style Decoration Road Mod2, here: http://hide-inoki.com/bbs/archives/sc4_0856.html

Also use these two to try an rid myself of all palms:

CP Palm to Lodgepole

Should I be setting the above mods to load after the SFBT Diagonal Fillers to get the palms not to appear on those lots?

    InfamousJBE,

    In this link

    http://hide-inoki.com/bbs/archives/sc4_0856.html

how can I get that road style?

Will I have to download both the files SAM Default Stop.zip and z_zJPN_SideWalk_Mod2.zip

Also by installing them does the total Maxis roads changes to Jap style?

    Thank you

I highly suggest adding jeronij's ploppable trees here & here, in addtion to giraffe's amazing HD trees (search girafe on LEX).

As for the getting rid of maxis trees, I prefer to use the  be done with it, rather than changing each different tree.

I believe you also have to download the 2 Neko Prop Sets below also. Only download the sidewalk mod if you want to change yours to that grey texture. If you read the description, it does not modify any road files - it is a SAM override, so instead of the normal SAM #3 and #4, this will appear. I think...

The trees that are used by the triangular filler lots are set by the resource files of the SFBT street tree mod (one of the dependencies). You can delete all files of the street tree mod but the resources. Simply don't install the palm trees in that resource folder.

Since I'm using the JPN street mod, I don't have the SFBT Street Tree Mod in my active folder. I do have all the dependencies needed for both mods in the active plugins folder. The Diag Fillers still work fine without the actual Street Tree Mod being installed. Which means there is no resource file in my active folder.

I do have the SFBT props with the file for the palms. If I removed that particular file, would the palms then not show up on the Diag Filler lots, or would it possibly cause an issue with the lots? ie: brown box?

    I do appreciate the help.

That's correct, you can just remove the palm props. I only have SFBT_CP_Street_Deciduous_Trees.dat and SFBT_CP_Street_Shore_Pinyon_Pines.dat in the "Tree Props" folder.

For variety I would recommend using girafe's trees and flora.  There are many trees to choose from, along with a variety of bushes and flowers.

I think the others have said this already, but the palm pack is awesome. I have two, one shows up as boxes, but the other works great. A few palms, and some mangroves. Check the add ons. If some one as limited as me found it, you should have no problem.

If you are getting boxes, you are missing dependencies.  Check the download page again or try reading any read me files.
