"If you try to please everybody, you often times end up pleasing nobody, especially yourself. When somebody offers to do a favor for free, like making a mod for SimCity 4, you shouldn't be overly critical of something generously given to you. In other words, you shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth." - Twilight Sparkle after playing SimCity

Should probably mention I am. *:thumb:

I haven't been around in some time as well but I'll explain that during a CJ update.

It's just Need 4 Speed. GTA is when they drive around in a tank, squishing helpless co-Sims under their unforgiving treads.

At least once you have the 'essentials', you're pretty much set it seems for a lot of newer BATs (2016 onward). Older BATs on the other hand... tracking some of those down could be tricky. But acquiring all of the 'essential' dependencies can be a nightmare at first    and that's why I have a 'master' folder of unzipped plugins just in case!

Once you play with NAM installed, one simply cannot go back!

I'm waiting for the day when someone makes a Faber College lot for SimCity 4

Not really. I leave nothing to chance and check all the dependencies on every new thing I download. Luckily the LEX is smart enough to tell me I've already downloaded it- but for STEX I often re-download things unless I know by memory I am 100% certain I have a dependency already installed.

There are, of course, some new and/or old dependencies that pop up from time to time. Some BAT creators tend to stick to a certain set of dependencies for the majority of their work. I still check to make sure, but often times I don't have to seek out more dependencies. Of course, that all depends on the player and what plugins they wish to use (and what they already have).

Well, not long ago I stumbled upon a BAT with some sort of petrol station. The OED? OMD...? Or maybe it was a Billa store, I don't really remember.

In any case, that little bastard had about 11 dependencies that I have never seen before...

And here I was, thinking that BSC is the holy grail of modding. *:D

This is the saddest thing with this. You never know when it will be the last time you see somebody *:(

In a more futuristic mood, Craiyon (originally DALL-E mini) is an AI system that can create images from a description in natural language. Put "SimCity" and you'll get SimCity 3000 with NAM :D

What is good when you have nothing to say is that you can always pretend to listen. Anyway it does not prevent to think!

I guess art is no longer art with things like this available... :O

At one point, we considered things like hand painting to be the pinnacle of artistry compared to computer-rendered, hand-programmed, image.

Now, it seems, The computer-rendered, hand-programmed images will share the same status and be considered a masterpiece of human talent! :O

Here's what I got when I entered "Art is dead".
