Bring back some maple syrup from the Canadians that crossed over, oh and tell them Bernie Sanders is insanely crazy.

From a European point of view, he's pretty moderate.

2131.

From an on northeast/west-coast or Chicago view, he represents everything the rest of the country is not.

Plus he looks like a mad scientist that just got electrocuted :P

Plus he is an extremest that even the democrats tend not to support.

Its a waste of a seat that is deadwood that could actually be beneficial to the american people, he is representing such a minority of the collective country's public views, outside a state like Vermont, It would be political suicide, only states like California, Massachusetts and New Jersey would put him in office, I don't even think New York would.

He nearly always votes the same as the Democrats. That leaves two options: the Democrats are extremists too, or Bernie Sanders is no extremist, like the Democrats (I go for option two).

Well then, go back and get some. :P

To search for the ideal city today is useless. For all cities are different. Each one has its own spirit, its own problems, and its own pattern of life. As long as the city lives, these aspects continue to change. Thus to look for the ideal city is not only a waste of time but may be seriously detrimental. In fact, the concept is obsolete; there is no such thing.

While I agree that local maple syrup from Vermont or Quebec is superior to mass produced maple syrup, I still say that maple syrup overall is overrated, and while I will use it occasionally I prefer to put just butter on my pancakes.

eh.  I'm inclined to agree.  Mass produced anything is never as good as genuine things.  (except Philadelphia Cream Cheese)

I rather liked that song by Cactus Channel you posted in the other thread.

2139: I'm rather glad you did. They produced that album all before they were 18, and have brought out a second album.

You can't find decent cheese to save your life in Japan, unless you're willing to take out a second mortgage on your house to buy it.  Also, they suck here at making sandwiches.  If you want a sandwich ruined for you, ask a Japanese person to make it.  The reverse is true for sushi.  If you want sushi ruined, go to the States and order a California roll.  It's amazing how barbaric we each can look to each other.

That is because he has no choice, but they arn't going to support most of the bills he sponsors.

How is it possible to ruin a sandwich?

Bread, butter, put things inside, cut if and how desired, done.

I'm not much of a fan of sushi myself though.

I don't eat sandwiches. I prefer to eat one food substance at a time, there aren't too many non-homogeneous mixtures that I care for. For example, I like chocolate, and I like ice cream, but I hate chocolate chip ice cream because having hard dry bits mixed in with something that's otherwise soft and wet is utterly unappealing to me.

Are we talking about ice cream or sandwiches?

Here, i'll just respond to both topics:

    a. My favorite type of sandwich would definitely

be the tuna sandwich. I don't care if my breath

        smells afterwards, i'll eat it.

    b. Ice Cream? I used to adore mint chip, but now

I eat Rainbow Sherbet. Mint chip is still good, though.

    I'm writing a trilogy.

    Happy birthday!

There are any number of weird spreads and meats and "cheeses" they use here that completely and utterly screw up the sandwiches.   Wasabi in the mayo-like spread is one way.  Limp, damp lettuce is another.  Egg salad sandwiches are generally safe, but then again those aren't really my favorite.  There are some pretty good burger places here though, so when craving a sandwich you can partially satisfy it at one of them.

2155: When I went to Germany you could get a bratwurst burger. We don't really have kangaroo steak burgers (I'd eat them if we did), but the classic Aussie burger usually has something to the sum of beef, bacon, egg, pineapple, beetroot, tomato, lettuce, cheese and sometimes onion.

I've heard you can order a teriyaki burger at McDonalds in Japan. Is that true?

Happy belated birthday, astronelson. Surely it's another day in your neck of the woods by now.

When it comes to ice cream I can identify with the whole chocolate chips are annoying jobby but I really like moose tracks ice cream which has peanut butter cups so... never mind!

They also have veggie burgers in German McDonald's restaurants. (They taste meh.) They sold them in the Netherlands too, but they had to stop since the burgers were not really vegetarian since they put them on the same grill as the meat for the other burgers... (they also sell a 'McKroket' in the Netherlands, the horror).
