Oh my bloody. I've been busy for three hours installing lamps. Quite a task when all the electricity wires in your house have different colours (I've seen combinations of green-white, blue-yellow, green-yellow,...) and not like any international convention at all. Luckily there is such a thing as a volt meter...

Ground is obvious (it's striped, probably the only cable in this house that is according to international standards ). So I can distinguish the live from the neutral wire. I wonder what the guys were thinking when they did the electricity of this house in the 1970s...
