Tomorrow I'm going to check out the new baseball stadium in Charlotte. Knights vs Bulls. Looking forward to it. Also, it was the North Carolina Transportation Museum I went to the other day, not the National... Cool place. Many a train. I had to snap this pic for the sake of Duke and all the power he exudes!

I went ahead and googled it, knowing I've heard it but unsure of where, and, sure enough, there it was, from THAT movie.  Man, that was a hilarious movie.  Those guys are comic geniuses.

 

Nintendo: 任天堂, where 任 (nin) means shoulder or bear, like shoulder responsibility or a burden or whatever, 天 (ten) means heaven, and 堂 (to or do) means party, like political party (Jiminto, minshuto, new komeito, etc).  So, I'd translate it more fabulously as the "Heaven Bears Responsibility Party," and you might be able to translate 堂 as company, I guess, because why not.

It wasn't in Japan.  The day they had a solar eclipse just before my daughter was born it was all over TV.  Of course it had to be cloudy that day and it was just a little bit dim here.

 

Also, I had to google how to pronounce the name "Siobhan."  It doesn't sound anything like it's spelled.

A few pages back you asked something along the lines of whether or not Google will still exist in 100 years. A character in that book asked another character the same question. I suppose it's not all that remarkable. many a person has probably wondered the same, but it sparked my curiosity. Anyway, it was an excellent book. I finished it this afternoon.
