Nintendo has had new franchises since the "good old days". Animal Crossing started on the Gamecube in 2003 (Villager from it is going to be in the new Smash Bros), and then there was the whole Mii thing for WiiSports/WiiFit with the release of the Wii in 2006 (WiiFit Trainer is also a character in the new Smash Bros).

Pikmin is another series that's been up in the last ten years.

People say Captain Olimar sucks in Brawl, but he's an unstoppable beast once you get to know to use him, and in Japan he's considered the best character in the game.

I have never played Smash. I assume it's a fighting game. I've never been into fighting games. I did have a bit of fun playing Bushido Blade. Once.

Super Smash Bros is a fighting game but it works distinctly differently from a typical fighting game. Because of this, a lot of hardcore fans of fighting games (Tekken, Street Fighter, etc.) hate it.

Rather than kill your opponent, you knock them off the edges of stages from classic Nintendo games (Includes Luigi's Mansion, Bridge of Eldin). The damage gauge shows how much you have, and the higher it is, the easier it is to be KO'd.

What's stupid is the Wii Fit trainer is joining the Brawl. The 3 characters I want in Smash Bros are Ashley from Warioware, Majora from Legend of Zelda, and Paula from Earthbound.

372: I like how it's a different style of fighting game. Works much better for 3+ players.

And I agree Saturn. He is hard to use but when you learn him he is significantly more favoured than others, as evident by the tier list.
When I'm not using Kirby, I like Ice Climbers. They are a bit of a double edged sword, considering they are powerful but borderline useless if one dies.

After finishing my Math final today, the teacher shut off the lights and put a movie on about the way our brains function, and it was so dark outside that it looked like night. This is in Philly, not far from Mayorjacks, and it was hard. That, and the US Open was also in that area today, I'd hate to play anything outdoors today, thank God the Phillies are in Minnesota today
