So in the real world i've gotten around to doing a series of videos called lets drives, i basically drive down various roads and highways in NJ (where i live) and record the journey. I find it fun to drive, and maybe sharing with others who have never seen the areas i live in before. Here's my latest, i also have 2 older ones uploaded, but they are of poorer quality. I leave them unedited to keep it more real feeling. enjoy.

Forgive me, but why is this in the Architecture and Urban Planning subforum...?

Because roads are a huge part of urban planning as anyone knows. The point when i posted this was more in the spirit of embracing exploration of roads, of finding new places, enjoying what you have, etc. I just figure some people might get a kick out of looking into another cultures road system, even a diff state in the US. So they can come along on a journey, learn something, see something. Lets just drive

Don't get me wrong....I'm certainly not questioning your interest in sharing these videos.  I just didn't know why they were posted in this particular subforum.  But what you're basically saying is that people can watch these videos and get some inspiration for laying out their roads in the game, is that correct?

Correct. As for the sub-forum, this one seemed to make more sense at the time

Wellllll, you might want to try the General Off-Topic forum.   ;)   These videos really have nothing to do with architecture and there's nothing in them which shows anything urban....although I will say they look like nice roads for taking a Sunday drive.

We have several threads on the Architecture & Urban Planning subforum where people post driving videos, but most of them are with the intention of depicting some "roadgeekery" or to offer a sight of the rush hour conditions on an X highway... In this case, however, it looks like the intention is more showing the viewers an specific region or environment (as Higu says in post #4); which doesn't fit 100% with the spirit of this subforum.

Then, we're moving this thread to the General Off-Topic forum. Have fun.
