The extra controller is more of a last-minute decision. The decision was made before we could update the manuals. And having six thick manuals under your control, yeah, it's hard to keep track on them all...


Read the Readme or drown in bugs and glitches; the choice is yours...

The corrected NAM 31.1 with Controller s180/e180 is now available on the SC4D LEX.  Thank you all for your patience.

Okay so I snuck in and got the NAM 31.1 before it was taken down, it is installed.  By downloading the new 31.1 and installing it will I be creating any problems?  Should I delete the old 31.1 before installing the new 31.1?

No it automatically overwrites (at least it did for me)

Moonlight's BTM and ELR mods do not intersect RHW networks without reverting back to maxis textures.  Is this a problem or are they not meant to?  Moonlight seemed to say they should be able to cross ok.

This question has been answered in the thread where you originally posted; as mentioned there, we will be working to fix this.  It is not necessary to post bug reports or questions on multiple sites, as the NAM Team checks these sites regularly.

Heres mine. With s180. :)

This overpass didn't have the rainbow supports from NAM31. It was just straight across the gap.

And these MIS turns. I could just be doing it wrong, but they were also like this in NAM31. I redragged them and it reverted to this. I don't have extracheats.dll since I'm on a mac, but its not drivable with the UDrive it feature.

CTD when exiting to region still persists.

Installer cannot detect Java 7 X64, though I have a traffic sim installed v1.3.3 (1715) by nam and don't think I can update it to the latest as a result of this.

 

This happened last version also btw.

I've dug the dreaded hole to china.  Attempted this twice to be certain it wasn't just a case of not having enough flattened area for the ramp to fit.  The order was placing the 6s to 4 transitions, connecting the transition to the maxis hwy with the rhw tool, placing the B2 ramps and the second one (nearest the cliff) digs a hole where it joins with the transition so deep it can not be levelled out with any amount of using the raising tool.  The A2 ramp seems to go in just fine in that location if I use that instead.htcju.jpg

Only way to get around those holes is to put singular road pieces down all around where you are going to build to keep the terrain from terraforming.

 

All of the straight HSRP over straight maxis networks roads/rail/etc fillers are missing from the HSRP menu apart from SAM and the diagonal HSRP which are still there.

 

I don't know how much is missing from the GHSRP and HSRP fillers but seems quite a few.

 

They were there in the nam 31 version.

 

I was looking at updating my line to the fixed stations as such I was going to have to redo a few overpasses due to the breakage thing but hence the fillers are not there.

Hello everyone. I'll use this thread to post some NAM glitches that I foud.

1. No textures on one-way roads.

During the instalation I chose "eliminate most one-way arrows" and "eliminate one-way arrows at roundabouts". If I unistall these two it will work just fine, but I'll get arrows which is not what I want.

I also use the "retextured standard road style (american)" for my roads if that has any influence.

2. No texture on el.rail crossings with heavy rail.

I use the "darker textures by SFBT" for rail texture and the original Maxis texture for elevated rail. I also have the "el. rail over road networks" mod instaled.

I tried reinstaling NAM without the SFBT's rail texture and got the same result.

I'm using NAM 31.1 with the Steam verison of SimCity 4.

My NAM instalation is pretty minimalistic so there's no RHW, SAM, NWM or any of that stuff.

I already had this problem with NAM 31.0, but was hoping that the patch will fix it, so I didn't report it.

How can I tell which controller version (179 vs 180) I've got? I've tried 'Properties', I've looked through pretty much all of the documentation and I can't easily find the answer.

I didn't bother trying that since the end result would have been the same, I just exited without saving and skipped the boom and the dust cloud (the sims are mad enough already as everyone's out of endust and the truck doesn't come in until next thursday)

of course I've had that backfire on me a few times, it would be my luck the entire city would end up in the black hole (the sims should have never built that hadron collider)

Go to the highway menu and scroll to the bottom. There should be the NAM icon and if you hover over it, it'll tell you what version it is.

 

For the MIS curves, try clicking on it and see what happens... :)

I tried that. No luck. :( I expected redragging to work too...

Got it! Spent about 20 minutes dragging to fix it. :P
