this is really minor, but some stations have a capacity of about 10^(-3) of what they should be when read by the mac version.  I have encountered this in downloads before and know that there is a simple fix, but I have yet to read up on the specifics of the value in the code that needs to be changed.  Everything else is slightly glitchy but awesome, well done, im simply blown away by project symphony.

Here is one I did not see in this thread. I have Euro textures selected. As you can see, paths work fine - this is purely a cosmetic issue.

Going to add to this...

The textures don't work only in the left and down directions of both the T-Onslope and the straight onslope, as well as all directions of the new diagonal piece.

It seems weird. I have not had half of the missing parts and texture problems shown here. The Major one I have had is the installer not Installing the right Euro textures (I got standard rather than Australian). What happens when the 31.1 fix comes out and tries to fix things that were not broken on my setup?

I have also not been able to replicate a bunch of the bugs that were reported. I assume a decent number of them have to do with faulty installations. Though I've not had problems with the 31 installer.

Cheers

Willy

i 've noticed something while testing HSRP. i have no other mod in my plugin folder. it's weird because this is happening when there is a conflict with other bullet train mod.

That's monorail, I think, not HSRP. I don't think this is a bug, I've seen the same in my game for years on ordinary heavy rail. I think it's just the game itself?

it's happening in HSRP as well. i just forced to take the photo from the monorail due to lack of commute of HSRP. this is happening since i install the NAM 31.

Hmm, I think I missed those textures. These are quite recent updates by memo to overcome the shadow bugs. I'll have to look into that...

On that note:

(Notice the diagonal transition on the left, it seems broken.)

I'm sure I did those NWM textures. They should work right. I think the DragFAR intersection is a valid bug, though...

With only NAM in my plugin folder I still get some US textures. Also, some of the previews incorrectly show US textures, but when plopped, they have the Euro textures.

In my case, I completely removed all plugins (including NAM) before installing 31. I tested it out, then added back all my non-NAM plugins. I also exclude NAM from DAT Packing. I honestly cannot see where my installation could have been faulty and I have been able to reproduce every bug here. I think a number of them have to do with improperly/differently using the items in-game.

If you don't install the HSR you can't use HSR bridges :read:

This will be fixed in NAM 31.1 so that if you don't install the HSR, you won't be able to install the HSR bridges.

The same goes for the RHW.  These fixes are in place and working in our development version.

I found what I think to be is a small texture problem in the last row of arrows in avenue intersections. I am using the Standard Euro plugin and I think it is only in that version since people with the standard textures don't seem to have it. The arrows look like this at all zooms and after exiting/restarting Sim City 4. I re-installed NAM to see if that fixed it but I had no success. I have no other mods that add Euro textures so I don't see anything conflicting. I am using the LHD version of the game as you can tell, so I am not sure if this only effects the LHD version as I have not tried it on the RHD version.

I did not see it posted anywhere else and even though it's small I thought I should mention it anyway if you guys are trying to be as thorough as possible.

Just to let you guys know. I went ahead and created a new region. I had originally reported the broken path on the T inersection and found that if I created it in one of my old regions that was created with the old nam 30. I would get that broken pathway but if I created it in the new region (fresh start) no broken path whatsoever and the sims are using it just fine. I also figured out that I needed to get rid of the Old RHW 5.0 and the old folder of Nam in order for my cities to load up to normal speed. If you look in the new Nam31 install tree you have select what you want to show up other wise you get missing textures and such. Like SAM for instance, it all showed before I deleted out my old Nam network files and put in the nam 31 on top of it but once I deleted that out after I had installed the new Nam Sam textures were missing and so I re-installed the Nam 31. Fresh, with custom options all selected and everything seems to be working just fine. Only thing I can find wrong now is that the RHW-4 bridges are silightly off by height when connecting up with the Symphony (Maxis Overide Highway). You can see the break once you pan in a little closer. I think the height issue was mentioned on the SC4devotion thread there. Anyways, now I can start bulding again. Thanks guys and great work on this once again!

The NAM setup must be run with Higher Priviliges, an Administrator account (my User account isn't an Administrator account).

This will be fixed in the next release (31.1) so that the installer can be run with a normal user account.

Haven't seen this one posted before yet so:

Though, I'd like to also take this time to mention how much I appreciate Project Symphony.  It didn't really dawn on me until I started using it, but for one thing I wouldn't be able to drag the ERHW 4's over that many railroad tracks without them converting back to RHW-2's in the inner areas.  With Project Symphony, you can hardly tell those aren't technically RHW 4's because for all intents and purposes they're the same thing.  It's great that I can convert to/from being able to use what was formerly Maxis highway when I'm either tight on space/options or just pretty lazy (:P).

tl;dr yay not having to worry about managing two separate highway systems and how to convert between them anymore!

Project Symphony still needs some HRS support.

Did you mean HSR?

i have an issue with some bus stops but i.m not sure if this is related with the new NAM. after installing the NAM 31 all my bus stops disappeared. any thoughts?

penthe20.jpg

This unfortunately does appear to be due to the new NAM.  RTMT wasn't deleted though; the fact that you still have your road markings shows that.  It's just the bus shelters and the subway stairs that have disappeared.  Cleanitol didn't remove anything, either.  In fact, if you demolish and replop your stations, all the props should come back.

I've seen this happen a long time ago for no apparent reason, so it may or may not be a bug in the NAM, though it does appear that the NAM triggered it.  I'll have to look into it some more.

Later...

I removed all the mass transit lots from my NAM, as that's the only thing I thought could be causing the problem.  However, that didn't fix anything.  But once you replop your RTMT lots and save your city, the new lots stick around.  It's not clear that this is a NAM bug or even an RTMT bug, but for now at least, replopping seems to be the only solution.

The stations still have their signs intact (if you're using RTMT v3.60), so you can see exactly what type of stations they are (were?) by hovering the Query tool over them.  And they still function fine; it's just that those two classes of props are missing

z1 : thanks for replying. i solved the problem this morning. it's not Nam that causing the problem. it's dependancies that where missing. but anyway i like it the way it is. still doing the job. so no problem. i'm sorry that ι post something that is not related to Nam.from now on  i'll be very careful on what i post.

I don't know if it's been mentioned already, and I downloaded fairly soon after NAM31 went up here (nice work btw) so haven't applied any fixes that you may have already added or whatever...

All seems to be working okay so far, but I thought I'd try the light rail stuff for the first time. Trying to put a loop near a straight station, neither on road, and it's twice caused my game to crash to desktop now. Both are being placed next to a 6 lane road if it makes any difference.

Sorry I don't have a screencap to share at the moment.

Sounds like you're having the transit-enabled lot crash. Don't do this: hover a puzzle piece over a station. Place the loop first, then the station.

Since the NAM 31 download I experienced a couple instances that haven't happened before.

1. Two instances of SC4 crashing to desktop during a save and exit to desktop command.

2. Two instances of the game freezing and becoming unresponsive. Once while loading a fresh, undeveloped large city tile. And once again in the same tile with a small town on it while I was laying down a draggable FARR road. Did a forced reboot. Hasn't happened a 3rd time yet.

Elevated Road intersections, right hand drive, european texture: cars turning wrong direction or the texture of the intersection is twisted (Cars coming from the elevated road turn the wrong way, cars coming from the avenue turn the right way).

I think similar issues were reported before: can't connect AVE-Intersection to OWR
