The Leaving / Returning Thread

I'm back until Friday. This is the week Civics ends, so I'm going to be here a bit more during the morning (before lunch) not that you'll notice much difference (since I've been posting here instead of doing my work... yah, whatever) anyway, in more personal issues...

My mom has been satying at my cousins (in case you couldn't figure that out) and my cousin has a new boyfriend. He lives about 250km away in a town called Schreiber. Him and my mom don't get along very well, so he usually goes out partying (or, as we say here, to a shag) with her to get away from my mom, which leave my mom with my cousins two kids. My mom doesn't get payed to watch the kids all the time, but rather, she is paying to stay at my cousins... So, now that my cousins boyfriend is starting to move in, my mom desperatly wants out of there. On Friday, my cousin was supposed to get my mom's weekly cheque from some luteran community thingy that helping her pay off her debt, but instead of getting home before the banks closed so she could cash the check, she went to Duluth with her boyfriend to buy powerball tickets So, I had to wal;k all the way to my cousins house in the middle of the night to go to a bank downtown to deposit the check in an ATM then get the money, walk back to her house, etc. And it was a really hot night. (it's been surprising ly hot up here...) so, on Saturday I got my mom a newspaper, and now that the university classes are over a bunch of apartments are up for rent over the summer. My mom has about 30 or so on a list and at 1pm today we are going to look at them (except at 1.30, my mom has a doctors appointment) My mom says she wants to be out of my cousins by the end of the month. If we get into an apartment by the end of the month, we should have internet by mid-may (it takes them 2 weeks to connetct it, if the wiring isn't already in place... most apartments here are from the mid-50s, so the likeliness of it having an ADSL line is low) and aside from that, I'm getting tired of living at my dad's house (he doesn't know how to manage money, so he get's paintball guns instead of groceries... I've lost 20 pounds since I moved in there) so I should be back in about a month at the most... hopefully.

Still gone, just checking in to make sure no one forgot about me.  I got one of those USB Memory Sticks, so i'm just on to check up on what i've missed on the stex while i was gone.  Best Buy promised my computer back in two weeks, as of tommorow it will have been six weeks.  i've also been trying to download GMAX to try to improve my BAT skills, but for some reason it won't install on my dads computer.  But anyways, if there is a just and loving g-d in our world, i'll get it back soon... ALL I HAVE TO ENTERTAIN MYSELF WITH IS ANIMAL CROSSING! HELP ME!!!

I should add that I got ADSL today (256k) so I reckon I may be here more often! The exceedingly long page loading times were part of the reasons why I stopped coming here...as well as a total lack of interest in sc4 (LOL).

YAY!!! I'M BACK!!!

after six weeks of looking at it, best buy decided my computer couldn't be fixed, so they threw it away and bought me a new one.  i now have a gateway with ten times better stuff than my old one!  and i only had to pay $400!  so, i'm back!

 

I had to delete everything on my old computer...

I didn't notice this thread when I posted my return thread, sorry . Well a few people here may remember me. I notice a lot of new people, and a lot of changes from when I was active here a long time ago. Last time I was here this place was dark-colored, looks good though.

Anyway, I just started playing SC4 again a couple days ago. Uhh, I'm doing a lot better than I did last time I played (as some people may remember). Maybe I'll start a city journal or something. I have no skills with the BAT or lot editor so I'm of no help there, sorry. Well, I'm glad to be back.

well guys, my time's up...

Its time for me to leave ST and head off to San Antonio, Texas for Basic Mililtary Training and become part of the best Air Force in the world. I was originally supposed to leave on May 10, but my ship date got moved up to Sunday the 8th. I've been waiting to leave for about 8 months now and its finally here. I'm nervous and excited, but ready to go and get it done and over with already. I'm taking the next two days off to continue getting my affairs in order and saying goodbye to the people I'm leaving behind here.

I'd also like to thank everyone here for being so kind to me the last 1 year, 1 month and 2 days I've been a part of this community. I really appreciate it and wish you all good luck in what ever you do.

This is my last post but don't be suprised if you see me drifting around here between now and sunday afternoon.

If I had to give a a date for when I come back here I'd take a wild shot in the dark and say in 3-4 months, or whenever I finish Tech School (individual job training), but rest assured, I shall return.
