crazychickensc12: Thanks my friend. I appreciate it. BTW Lovely rock and water mods44.gif

6underground: Thanks my friend. I'm glad you liked..

Ace_F15: Thanks very much. Right now I'm on sick leave so your right in a sense, part of my life I don't have right now.. Take care..

Alfred_Jones: Thank you very much my friend..4.gif

jaqulina: Thank you as always my friend. I'm at least back to using my right hand when it comes to the mouse.. Things are getting back to normal.. We'll see. I'm looking forward to you using it (flora) in your cj44.gif Take care my good friend..

bat: Thanks as always my friend..

PhilsCafe: I always appreciate your comments Phil. Your one who looks very closely at all the details. I appreciate that. The stump idea was Couchpotato's, she's the one who deserves alot of the credit.. Take care my good friend. I hope you'll get some time to play. RL can be tough sometimes..46.gif

patriots_1228: Thanks as always my friend..

Yoman3: Hey buddy. I'm glad you liked.. It's nice to see my flora in other CJ's. It lets me know I'm contributing2.gif. The mossy reef rock was made to be used underwater, it looks ok on land, but underwater is where it belongs.. Thanks my friend..

zelgadis: Hey I love bridges too. I guess we're both weird47.gif. Thanks my friend..

hamsterTK: Yes it's simgoobers spillway which I believe can be found in this set Hopefully I'm right. It's been a long time sinse I downloaded it..43.gif. Thanks for your comments my friend..

Nik-nik. Hey mate. I appreciate your comments. My arm is slowly getting better thanks. As far as the rapids go it's always in the experimental statge it seems43.gif. Hopefully one day I'll be happy with it.. Take care my friend.. BTW Yes the tree stumps are mine but Couchpotato came up with the idea..

salut221: Thanks as always my friend..

    AFTER ROCK MOD UPDATE:

patriots_1228: Thanks I have created a better one I think (see below)..

salut221: Yes I understand. I didn't like it either. It was my first one though.. I have played around with a couple more. One is below in my new update.. Take care..

wouanagaine: Thanks my friend. The RPK pack takes some getting used to but it's invaluable as it combines simgoobers canals and Pegasus' streams. There is (true enough) alot more flora (nature stuff) to choose from now. I think people can create some amazing things with it..44.gif BTW the black rock mod has been scrapped for (I think) a better one.. It looks pretty good too in region view. Take care..

Alfred_Jones: Thanks my friend but I believe I have created a better one. That was just beta stuff.. Take care..

Darmok: Hey mate. I scrapped that rock mod. After looking at it I agree it was too black, besides from certain angles it looked odd, too squarish, not natural looking. But I think I fixed that problem. Thanks for all your comments my friend..

bat: Thanks as always bat, I have created a couple of new ones that I think are better..

    GMT: Thanks my friend..

asturianu: I'm so glad you liked buddy. I'm looking forward to flora being in your great journal. Take care..

    St. Bartholomew's Church

Update 47 Building Westfork's First Church: Dedicated to Darmok

Today I want to build the first church in Westfork. St. Bartholomew's will do nicely for this community (or soon to be community). It's a beautiful old church created by gascooker.

The first pic shows the area where the church will be placed.. (47.1)

Lets design the hill where we'll put it: (47.2)

    stbartholomewschurch2pc7.jpg

     Lets place the church: (47.3)

    stbartholomewschurch3gs9.jpg

Every church needs a parking lot and a nice little relaxing park near it: (47.4)

    stbartholomewschurch4eg2.jpg

Lets add some new rock flora (note: this is as of yet unreleased rock flora designed to compliment the rock mod you will see in later pics) (47.5)

Time to add some trees and flowers (47.6)

Hey, Steve, my friend, how are you? Nice use of the churc, i used it a lot of times, but not in Lloyd (i think it is very old to Lloyd).

So, wanna see your flora in my cj, i'm using it in many cities, my friend, and rocks, lots of things.

    Nice work, Steve.

    You're welcome mate 4.gif.

Your skills never cease to amaze me Steve... a rock mod, very nice job there. I agree with Darmok, the pattern looks good as far as I can tell from the picture you provided. But you're probably right about the color, I've never seen such a dark Granite, Gabbro maybe... or coal. However, the limestone colored one and the grey granite look awesome my friend. The colors are perfect and I love the textures.

I like the setup for "St. Bartholomew's", especially the link between scenic drive and park trails is a nice attempt.

    Take care Steve.

Amazing again my friend! Well I thought you knew it but I guess you dont. My real name is Owen19.gif So you can call me that now. Chuch Hill looks very nice. I wouldn't want to fall down it though. That would hurt......bad.  Your use of Cycledog's rocks in the area also looks lovely. Very nice work again.

If I may make a suggestion I would re-do the power lines in the last picture. The one of the river bank looks awful. Flatten out the tile where the towers will go. It gets ride of the slope thing. Other wise your stream looks amazing. I was never very good at that but with you and dedgren as insperation maybe I will delve into attempting it again. All around very nice again. Though you might want to add some trees to the back side of the church where the road is.

    Hey Steve!

First, thanks for that dedication! Much appreciated my friend.

Now the church, I must say that it's the first time I see those big boulders used in a way I like, the way you've placed them they look like a rocky hill, when placed to much apart, they tend to look like marbles on a flat surface, but this way is more natural looking. (Taking notes....)

The setup is first-rate! I like the choice of parking and the park is also a good addition.

    take care!

Wow. You put a lot into building before you actually lay any buildings down. Those bridges out on the islands are dizzying! You really put the STEX's special stuff to great use. Oh and just so you know, sigs work. I was on another thread and I saw yours and clicked it to end up here 4.gif

cityhawk: Thanks my friend. I have changed around all the Rock Mods. They look better now I think..

Owenluby: Hey mate. Thanks for the compliments..

Alfred.Jones: Thanks my friend. I appreciate it..

bat: Hey bat, unfortunately I had to scrap that rock mod as it looked too tiled from other zoom levels. But I still think the new ones I have made look very good (IMHO). Thanks..

jacqulina: Hey Jacky my good friend. I always appreciate your encouraging words.. Thanks very much..

Schulmanator: Hello and welcome to my cj.. Thanks for the comments...

    GMT: Thanks my friend..

asturianu: Hey my friend, I'm glad your finding use for the flora. I'm sure it will look great in your journal.. I appreciate the compliments mate..

    salut221: Thanks my friend...

PhilsCafe: Hey my good friend. I have changed around all of the rock mods. They look much better now I think from all zoom levels.. Thanks for the comments conceerning the church. Always appreciated Phil...

Yoman3: Hey Owen (it's nice to know your real name9.gif) Well your wish is my command. I never liked those power lines either. I'll change them when I have the time.. Thanks for the suggestion. It's a good one.. Take care..

St. louis dude: Hey mate. Unfortunately it won't be thriving for much longer (see below)45.gif

raul39: Thanks as always my friend.

jglei701: Thanks very much. Most of my work lately I have been attempting to compliment cycledoggs stuff. I can't go wrong when I do that because his stuff is great looking..44.gif

Darmok: Hey John my friend. Thanks for the compliments.. I actually just threw tose rocks out there to see what I could come up with. I guess luck was on my side this time2.gif. Thanks very much..

    tommiej: Thanks alot mate..

spa: Hey spa, nicce to see you. I'm glad you liked mate. I am also glad my sigs work9.gif That would be embarrasing43.gif. Take care..

Just so you all know I have started back to work again which is good and bad news. The good news is.. well I'm working (too boring staying at home on injury leave all the time), the bad news is I have very little time for SC4 at least for now 8.gif. I am also helping put together a Christmas concert at my church so that takes up most of my free time. It's not like I'm leaving and will never update again. However the updates will be reduced quite a bit for at least a couple of months until things get back to normal..

I'm sure everyone understands. If I don't comment very often in your journals or BAT threads don't take it personally. It's simply because I literally have no time at the moment46.gif

Thanks for understanding and like I said updates will still be comming, but not nearly as often (only when I can)..

Take care all and God bless..

    Hi Steve,

Well I guess it is Haloween time (not that we pay a lot of attention to it here in the Netherlends) and I looked at your latest Church update. I guess that church with your rock flora and some dead trees will look quite spooky.

I think if you loose the relaxing park and the wild flowers (not that they are not nice) you already have a great spooky place.

Congrats that your arm is so well that you can start working again. Last week I was 3 days ill of the flu and after 3 days I realy, I mean REALY got boored so it is good that you start out again. It is a pity if that means thatw e will see a lot less of you.

    Take care.

Steve- I hate to take advantage of your break, but now I can finally read this whole thing without getting constantly distracted by great new material.  You take care of yourself, your friends here will take good care of DM while you're away.  It'll be clean, in working order and well read...

    ...very well read...

...whenever you stop in.  You should also find, too, that I will be finally getting around to putting your recent STEX creations to work in 3RR.  They are a big part of my superdetailing plans.

Keep us posted on how you're doing.  That's way more important than any other kind of update right now.

    David
