Wheres the racetrack?! I used to race cajun sprinters years ago. I've had the honor of racing there in a late model a few years back. Awesome track!

Yes very nice American style city. They are harder to do imo. That road texture mod helps and looks great. I agree, the dark black roads and highways just aren't realistic in most applications, mainly urban. They just don't blend in. Wish there was a texture mod like this for the NWM and curved pieces and a concrete texture mod for the RHW, i'd love that but it's beyond me to create myself. Anyway, again, very nice city!

I can't believe just how many people commented on this! This was just a random post from out of nowhere, but maybe I'll just have updates on what I have done with the city.

I just downloaded like 150 new plugins so there will be a lot more to see within the next few pictures. The downtown area is hardly the same!

I'll have more pictures when I'm fully satisfied.

    Nice one!

I really like the river color and the building choices (except that old court-house in the second post, yuck!:dead::rofl: ).

The road texture is excellent - gives that worn, bleached by the sun look - is it compatible with the newer NAM (far, wide raius etc...., if so, I might give it a test-run) :thumb:

Here are a few more photos of Terre Haute as it was a few days ago. The city has since gone through a major recession and most of the buildings have become vacant.

    Hope you enjoy this Update!

A view of the city center if you were all wondering. The mayor (me) made a decision to pave over the central park. here are his words "This land is too valuable to be left idle, visitation of the park has gone down 80% since 2010"

The mayor now regrets the decision now that there is no investment into the area.

Always bad to see green dissapear in a city :C

Maybe the decision could be turned back in some urban renewal project?

Since the "oopsie" of Mayor Dean demolishing the Central Park of Terre Haute an effort has been put into action. Environmental activists and many angry citizens stormed the city hall on Wednesday asking for the mayor's head. Since the incident Mayor Dean has demolished a city block of Apartment buildings and began work on what will be a new, better Central Park. Here is what he had to say about the initiative...

"You know, I never really cared for nature and from what I knew everybody thought like I do. The riot outside my office has changed my view on that. I decided that since the city now has such a large amount of money that the park could be upgraded to has a playground, pond, and many more walking paths. The sketches that the landscapers have shown me look promising." -Mayor Dean

Meanwhile on the industrial northside of town plans to close the Morris Train Station are in effect. The city no longer has the money to keep the Station open now that all of the money is going to the Central Park.

    MorrisTrainStation.png

Many industries are furious and plan to sue the city if the station is closed such as the A. Holzman Company only a few blocks from the station. Many of their employees rely on the station to get to work everyday.
