The leaves are finally starting to change color around here.  By this time of year, most trees have dropped their leaves and stand naked in the woods, but not this year.  Looks like it won't be until October when that's the case.  I'm cool with that, a bit of an indian summer this year after last winter.  Right now, it looks like rain with temps in the high 50s to low 60s.

We are back to the low 20's typical of late September.  Summer is running a little late this year.  The equinox will be on the 23rd at 0229 CUT.  The mavens are predicting a wet day tomorrow with a chance of thundershowers 20-30 mm of precipitation.  A wet weekend, typical fall weather.  Some of the trees around here are turning, but the full colour show has not yet occurred.

Summer?  Was there a summer?  It has only been warm for about the last week and now we are back in the cooler.

Today is probably our last day of decently warm weather. Eighty degrees for a high, sixty-two for a low. Temperatures will then dip into the sixties for highs and eventually the fifties.

Currently 23 C (73 F) just nice for a fall day, but thundershowers tomorrow with temperatures in the high teens, coming back to the low 20s for the rest of the week.  Autumn officially starts on the 23rd (astronomically that is).

After a couple of more days of mild weather, the prediction is for a cold front and temperatures to drop into the high single digits.  Pants weather.

Warm and humid, up to 31C today ahead of the major typhoon bearing down on us.  A cold front is supposed to make tomorrow a bit more comfortable, and then it's showtime for Monday.  I'll probably have classes canceled.
