It's amazing how much the plaza adds to the overall appearance of the tower! :golly: I also agree that the white "ring" around the fountain is a bit too bright so far.

Amazing plaza!  :thumb:

Just like you said, the fountain is a little too bright. But, other than that, it looks fantastic!

OMG, that is so fantastic! Yes, I agree once more: The fountain texture could be slightly darker, other than that everything is looking perfect. This is a hot candidate for BAT of the Year in my books.

By the way, I hope you keep regular backups!

Nice building!

However you forgot the entrance for the maintenance building for the BMU Rails.

I thought the tower looked a little stretched, so I edited it into the game and compared it with ks_jpn's Sears Tower.

aon.jpg

If you look at this diagram, the blue line should be the edge of the roof for the building, assuming ks_jpn's BAT is ideally scaled.

This is the current model compared to what a shortoned one might look like. In my opinion the shorter one looks better, but of course it's not my BAT and a BATter can use whichever scale they see fit. I am just throwing out my idea.

Is it me or am I off - you showed an update rather quickly - working in overdrive?  Wonderful update!    :thumb:

This test only works if the Sears Tower was modelled to RL dimensions and was to scale..otherwise it's a wasted experiment. If you model to RL dimensions and stretch along Z axis 133% it should be fine.

Infact just looking at the pic I can see the Sears Tower model is too short anyway, its not much bigger than the Empire States model which was massively underscaled.

I think the height is fine.

Scale in SC4 is a messy matter, especially when comparing to other BATs which are scaled to whatever preference the BATer chooses.

Personally I think the scale of of the AON Center is just fine - but fortunately cogeo created the SC4 Model Tweaker, a powerful SC4 tool that lets the end user alter the scale of any BAT to their choosing.   :thumb:

BTW, great work Darknono, your models never cease to amaze me.

Thanks guys. The size of the building is exact, maybe one meter too high :)

Here an first view of the AON by night. The light glow on the plaza need more work ;) as the windows light, I think they are too crushed.

The windows really don't look very tall, but then again I'm not very familiar with the original building.

Two things I'd look into:

  1. For a building of such height, airplane warning lights on the roof may be an option
  2. The light cones on the plaza are very clearly defined. Maybe the lights would look better if they were more diffuse?

Other than that, it's indeed ready for export!

Thanks guys, but the building isn't ready for export now ... sorry :D it was a first approach.

You're right, T Wrecks, and the night version isn't ready for export. As you say, light on the top will be added to prevent planes to crash :). And I need to corrected the light of the windows and the light of the plaza, I've mention this two details in my post :D:P
