Good to see that Francis' Awesome-o-meter is still operational and has a scale that goes far beyond 10, because as the screenshots show, with certain BATters 10 is not the end. I feel like this project is in good hands.

Won't believe what I found.

Not sure if you've seen this before but this is one of the only color photos I could find of the building in the 1960's before it's facade was stripped and redone. It's quite a saturated photo but I hope it helps in anyway.

I still can't believe that they thought it would be better to strip it's facade and turn it into that international styled building(can't even see the new facade anymore honestly). I guess it would make sense that they got rid of the ornate facade since it later became a tower buried in billboards.

Hmm...yeah, it would help for sure, if you take into account that lot of photos from that period depicts things as more saturated than they should be (be it the cameras they used, or the ageing of inks during time, idk)- but nicely done, sgt.

It looks like i came late...i would have cast a world about this one:

the New York Tribune building (yep, even new yorkers had a "tribune" newspaper, it seems), shamefully demolished in 1966 to enlarge the approaches to the Brooklyn bridge.

Wow, this is simply stunning. I'm interested in the lot though - will it be an overhanging one with FARs merging in front of it or maybe a special transit-enabled one with custom paths, etc?

And the Singer building is a beautiful choice. I must have pics of it laying in my HDD, I'll try to find some.

I coincidentally gave the Singer Building a go yesterday and came up with the center part of the tower so far. But I guess you're much better with all the little details that go on the top and the base, so maybe I should leave the job up to you . No comments on the Times building, I simply have no words for it!

IMHO I I think that we should give time to Heblem in order to let him finishing what he already started, this is a very complicated bat and it needs time to make it perfectly, he said in his thread that he will finish it , he did'nt said when....! Just to mention that I wanted to make one Pekin rd, but SF told me that he has already started it! I hope he will finish it one day too...!

Heblem may come back, he seems to come and go..but I wouldn't hold your breathe for Simfox, he hasn't logged in for 6 months and hasn't really been active for nearly 2 years! So if you were thinknig of doing Peking Road i'd go for it..

AS for the Times Building, I see another BAT of the year on it's way..its been a year of Quality not Quantity thats for sure

'tis a pity, too. I miss his lectures, although they never were to everyone's liking.
