You out there Eddie?

New rail-to-subway transition from 211...
tun_01.jpg' align=baseline
NOTE: Though it is transit-enabled, you don't see trains descending into the tunnel. Located in parks menu.

Maybe you need to add some track on top of it, just like the GLR stations, where you need to drag some elevated rail track through it. Haven't had the time to try it out myself.

I've downloaded this lot and I have a problem. The trains cross over to use the left-hand-drive alignment through the station and then return to right hand drive. It's a little odd when trains cross over the other ones-- So is there a way to fix it so it doesn't cross oddly like that?

@mcarch - dunno, sorry. It's in the police menu where it ought to be for me. Note that the file was updated on 11/18, so you might try deleting it from your plugins, re-downloading the updated version and reinstalling. I'm not sure (and can't read) exactly what the update was, but here's a link to NOB's notes page, if anyone speaks Japanese or has the patience to struggle with an automated translator: http://www1.megaegg.ne.jp/~tokitoko/dialy.htm

@vester_dk - Nope, unfortunately only the first tile of the transition is TE-ed - just enough so you can link it to the rail. You can't drag rail over the descending part and you can't plop it on rail. Too bad - a little modding could greatly improve that lot.

@zakuten - I'm not much help for you either, I'm afraid. I did test the station in my own game and didn't have any problem with the pathing. Trains stay on the right-hand side of the platform, both in UDI and regular play. Again, if you feel like using a translator or someone who speaks Japanese can help, here is the page with discussion about the station from Ragutaro's BBS: http://hide-inoki.com/bbs/archives/sc4_0457.html

All right, thanks. I'll look through that. I have rudimentary reading ability in Japanese, so in a few hours, maybe I'll finish the first paragraph.18.gif But what could cause it to switch sides on me?

Hello zakuten
If you want to make the train right hand drive,
don't  install the forNAM version Lot in the forNAM  folder.
The forNAM lot  is the left-hand drive version Lot,
which is adapted to the latest NAM.
So you need to install only  the normal version Lot, 8590_Utils5x1_TodorokiType_RailStation_107a351b.SC4Lot.

@zakuten: I have created a modified version of the APTX station with island platform

- pathing works well
- freight trains can pass through now
- english dialogs

I have it not published anywhere yet. If I shall publish it, someone else should ask APTX for permission. I don't want...

Hmmm... Considering that APTX obviously follows this thread, it looks like you did just ask for permission, though not in a way likely to be accepted...

I never asked APTX for permissions, because it's the first thing by APTX I modded - just to make the station more usable for me but without thinking about publishing.

@zakuten
I noticed this too, when the small green things were passing through it. All I did was turn the station around, and bam! trains go the right way!

    Omigosh, page 53!

I killed some time digging for more treasures on the SimCity SSCollection at http://www.wotax.net/simcity/gallery/v/ (that is the best translation I can get for the mixed romanji/kanji website title, and I am assuming SS refers to ScreenShots, as the website is another giant screenshot gallery).

Of course there is lots to see there, and some guess-clicking landed me on a Region download page at http://www.wotax.net/simcity/regions/c-board.cgi?cmd=all  where, among several great regions, I did found a cool BAT.

    Nakameguro

This is the main tower of the Nakameguro Gate Town development in Tokyo, near the terminus of the Tokyu Toyoko and Eiban Hibiya commuter lines.  I am not sure, but I think the poster for this BAT on the website goes by Y.H, and they describe the BAT as a 3x3 CO$$$ lot employing 1700, with files for growable, ploppable commerical, and landmark lots.  It is also mentioned that the BAT does not including 2 real-life subsidiary library and supermarket towers, and is somewhat improvised on the rooftop and backcourts.  The real world Nakameduro Gate Town information site is at http://www.nakamegurogt.jp/

Download the 1.6 MB zipped BAT here:  http://www.wotax.net/simcity/regions/file/NakameguroGT.zip

I haven't fully browsed everything to find there, though page 2 of the Region download page at http://www.wotax.net/simcity/regions/c-board.cgi?cmd=all;page=2;id = had an awesome rendition of Kyoto with accurate roads, along with a 27.9 MB download for the Kyoto_City_with_Roads region at http://www.wotax.net/simcity/regions/file/Kyoto_City_with_Roads.zip

What I was really looking for was the amazing Tokyo Station BAT seen on the right side of the gallery at http://www.wotax.net/simcity/gallery/v/sc4rh20/aae.jpg.html   Unfortunately, from what I can glean from the comments linked off that page (more guess-clicking), even the Japanese fans are hunting unsuccessfully for it, and it may not be finished or released yet.  Oh well, something to hold our breaths and oogle over.

(Aaarrg these links!  Clicking on them returns an Error 403 Forbidden.  However, manually typing out their addresses seems to open them okay.  Technology is Exasperating!)

To Gecks_II, I had it going on the wrong side both ways until I used APTX's fix.

And also, are there any Shinkansen train skins by any chance-- Such as the Nozomi 500(I believe that's the fancy-looking one)

(Sorry about the accidental double, my computer's been fairly spaztic.)

Shinkansen is the bullet train-- And this is the model I was referring to.

Also, there's another train I've seen, again, a form of Shinkansen, which I'm not sure of the model number.

@zakuten - that's the 700-series shinkansen in the second picture.

The Nozomi in the first picture is a 500-series. It's incorrect to refer to them by such names, because those are the names of different services, on which any model of train can be. Nozomi is a service that uses both 500 and 700 trains, and Hikari/Hikari RailStar can be almost anything.

Sorry - I went through a phase a few years ago where I was obsessed with those trains. I still think they look kickass, and they do need to be represented more. I'd do it myself, if I could model something other than buildings.

Ah, I'd always seen Nozomi and 500 as being associated together; And I'd never known that the other was a 700-series. But in any case, are there ANY Shinkansen skins for that matter?

copy and paste this url into address bar or you will get 404

Wow - thanks for that link. I just downloaded several trains myself. I think this link might be easier for people who don't speak Japanese: http://n-mame.hp.infoseek.co.jp/cgi-bin/c-board358sp1c/c-board.cgi?cmd=all;id =

Might have to paste it into the browser.
