Darknono35:  The dark plane is a matte/shadow/reflection material.  It basically removes everything behind the plane from the render's alpha channel.  It's the easiest way of making underground plazas.  I wrote a short tutorial about it in this thread, the link is on the first page. 

 

 

So I haven't done as much as I'd wanted to in the last few days but I've made some progress:

 

 

Earlier tonight I made a list of 22 mostly small things that still need to be done for the day version.  So far tonight I've done 5 and I hope to get most of the rest done before going to bed tonight.

My Previous post didn't go trough (??) But what I wanted to say is that Amthaak once told me that I should add as many details as there are in the RL and that it will look great. He is right! Once you added all these stuff, it looks so impressive. Great job! 

 

Not sure if dirt material is going to be covered up with flora, but if it's not, it looks a bit tilled, imho. Love it.

Great work, I love how much vertical depth there is to the plaza areas. The variance in elevation adds a lot of visual interest.

The plaza looks great! However, seeing how it's rather big, it makes sense that you are also going to offer standalone versions (as mentioned on page 91). All I know is that I'm looking forward to both! Not to mention the night lights, which I expect will be a treat once again.

Fantastic work Jason! The Telus Building is the kind of complex that really doesn't exist in the game, but most major cities have one of these blockbusting type of developments somewhere in the mix.

I've finished day for the building and I'll be exporting it tomorrow.  I still have nitelites to do, and the park, so I don't think I'll be able to upload it tomorrow, but maybe the day after.

Thanks everyone.    I'm sorry it took so much longer than expected but this was by far the biggest and most complex BAT I've ever done and I underestimated it. 

 

The buildings and park will be released individually, probably either later in november or maybe in december.  I'm burned out on Telus Plaza and I have a few other BATs that I had planned for a November release.  November will be a big month!
