Update 12: Updated Region Shot

This update will be just a picture of the updated region. Right now I'm in the process of surrounding the farmland with forests.

City_Master: Thanks! The farmlands cannot extend much farther because of the forest, but the land out there is quite cheap.

Update 13: Convention Center

This update was inspired by Fox. It is going to be showing the construction of a new commercial convention center in downtown Highland.

This was the proposed area for the new convention center. The city purchased the property for a reasonable price and started building.

Construction of the outer structure has just begun.

After the building was completed, the roads around needed some "remodeling".

There are no turning lanes, too many street intersections, and confusing roads. Here is the finished product:

And maybe later, Highland might get a nice hotel and casino that will look something like this:

Update 14: A sideways mosaic...

Today's update will be very small (I've been a little busy this week) containing a sidways mosaic of downtown Highland.

This is a picture of downtown Highland right now; but it will be changing very soon, with a new hotel! (Not the hotel/casino I mentioned earlier, we'll save that for later.)

The new hotel will be directly across from the city hall. And an update on Rockford and the present airport will be ready soon, too!

Update 15: Rifleman Hotel Downtown

This update will be showing the construction of a new hotel; the Rifleman Hotel.

The Rifleman Hotel chain is a quite large on in the Genoa Metropolitan Area, and they've built a new hotel in downtown Highland. Here is a picture of Highland before construction of the new building.

With the construction of a new hotel, a street was paved to allow easier access to buildings in the area.

Here it is! A few new office buildings have also been built around it.

Here is downtown Highland with its "new" look.

Here is a teaser for Rockford.

Update 16: Rockford

This update will be showing Rockford (mostly at night) and the existing airport.

This is Rockford's airport that serves all of Greater Highland. As you can see, it is very small. The city is planning on building a new one.

Across the river is downtown Rockford. It is filled with hotels near the riverfront, and old shops and other buildings in the inner-city.

Here are 2 of the best hotels in Rockford.

Heading south, here is an older part of town.

And, for the last picture, a photoshopped intersection in downtown Rockford.

wow, good job on rockford. I like how its a smaller city but you did a great job of making it look very busy and lively. Great high rise selection and spacing too

Highland is looking nice too, I'm curious to see where the casino's gonna fit in

Update 17: Average Joe II

This update will be another one about an average Joe of Highland!

This particular average Joe lives in the city of Highland itself, right near the border. Here is his house.

Joe lives in a single family home near Park Creek. He lives in a neighborhood that is a bit pricey due to the location and view. His old apartment was near the Wicked Timber roller coaster. But he moved to the suburbs after he got married.

His current neighborhood is about 15 minutes away from downtown Highland.

His two children go to this school.

Sometimes he passes the Wal-Mart he used to work at when he was in high school.

As he drives to work he notices the new hospital is finally open.

Joe spends most of the day working at his real estate office in downtown Highland.
