I use that God Mode cheat quite often - I just hate how you can't control it well even with the SHIFT+1. Especially when trees end up in parking lots.

Godiva has some great stuff; I'll check that out. But I meant for the palm trees to be ON the streets, which isn't possible in 2D networks .

I second smarty218. If you want trees on the streets, just look for some street tree mods. There are a good number available.

Great! Nice incorporation of parks. How do you get them not to abandon though? It seems for me like if there isn't a store right next to them, the homes abandon.

Hi,

First of all, i need to say there are some realy nice pictures here, that inspired me alot!

I can see that in some city's the "Urban Housing Mod" is used ( https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?Keyword=urban%20housing%20mod&view=all&page=1# )

Well i realy realy wanne try this mod out, so i downloaded it and the needed "lot editor".

Only i got no idee how to get it to work, so if anyone could please be so helpfull to tell me how to do what and where, it would be great

J0nnD0ugh: Thanks!  Heh heh...I wish I could give pointers, but I can't.  Those are actually the first hillside homes that I'm actually satisfied with...

All I can really say is to not zone larger than 2 tiles deep, or else you might get those big blocky houses.  That's about all I can say, though...

Masochist: Cool perspective thing you got going there!

ahhh, the nice look of a suburb! i got busstations around, but i use the "small bus stop" mod, looks like a little green park with a busstop infront ( realistic one ).

You maybe notice some 3x3 spots just filld with tree's, i think it looks nice and add's just enough green . The houses arnt rich yet, as you can see its a beginning ( map ).

Woah! Look at the map now pic 1 and 2 where on the right side of the avenue. Here you got a more clear few if my road layout, just done out of the head, no real idea where i wanted to go to ( no grid )

You can see the more commercial central of the town ( for now ) and the rail station working around ( and under ) the city!

If you got a good eye then you already noticed that i plannend ahead with some avenues and railway's (map).
