I like the City Planner because he hardly ever seems to bother me. I mean sure he always is popping up when I load a city to tell me things that are, for the most part, pointless. But he hardly ever complains. On the other hand, there's the Heath and Education Advisor who is constantly complaining about schools and hostpitals that have enough funding already! :noway:

I like the environmentalist one, because I don't think I ever saw ONE of her pop-ups, though in reality those are probably the biggest narrowminded assholes you could find on a planet.

I don't like the finance one. If I generate huge cash-flow, why bother me with; "lower the healthcare budget or other" if I don't have to!

Environmental one wouldn't be so bad, except she has a habit of shutting down water towers. For that, I hate her.

City Planner isn't that bad, but I'm the city planner, not this bobble-head.

Financial Advisor is Ms. Captain Obvious: she says when the city budget is going up or down (and I know that). When it's going down, she gives canned ideas that almost never work properly (and in some cases, make things worse)

Utilities Advisor just complains about aging power plants. Multiple times!

Safety Advisor is probably the least obnoxious, but that's still a longshot.

Health & Education Advisor constantly bemoans the underbudgeted schools and hospitals. Just like real life!

Transportation Advisor always complains about intersections with or without NAM. Don't think he's given useful advice either.

My advice: Kill them all. With fire.

the city planner is cool because of the rewards he gives us but there is one downside of him as seen here the most stupid statement :angry:hugeland037_001.jpgbtw keep the posts/votes a coming

It's because Neil Fairbanks is angry what you did. You built so much roads, so that's why "Roads Rule in featy city, but Streets Becoming Endangered".:) To avoid those annoying messages; build some streets outnumber roads.

Do not use roads so much or the annoying messages will appear.

I like the city planner. He always congratulates me and gives me advice. I've never seen the Financial adviser... and I hate the darn Health and Education advisor.

She turns into a fiery volcano and calles me names and goes stuff like "DO YOU WANT A CITY OF SICK IDIOTS, YOU BOBBLEHEAD? MOVE THE FUNDING UP ON THE DARN CLINIC". When she's being nice she sounds sarcastic.

But, the city planner "How nice Mayor, you are running a wonderful city, it must be so grand to be you".

I never have problems with the Environmental lady or others..

I like the Emergencies advisor and he is very kind and has saved me from a city flash fire once.

OMG! I just discovered that if you press that little green button over there, you get a magical item that you've been wishing for! OOH!

When I first started playing SC4, I really didn't know how to manage civic building capacities, so my schools and hospitals were always overflowing. Since I played on easy, and didn't know how to disable advice pop ups.......well, the health and education adviser pissed me off, to put it mildly. :noway: She's still my least favorite.

I had the common sense to keep my water pumps away from pollution, so I never got any trouble from the environmental adviser. She did kind of annoy me about trees though.

As for my favorite, I'd say the City Planner. He actually gives helpful alerts about demand, and he gives you your rewards! :thumb:

Now, Maxis always warned us about how the advisers had their own agendas...I've figured out which ones are advising you because they know what the city needs, those who just want to be heard, and those who are there for their own benefits.....

Love: City Planner: He helps you run the show. He's there to tell you what the city wants and when they need it.

Safety: He obviously wants every bit of crime crushed, and will be heard when there's a problem zone.

Utility: He will pound on your door until that aging power plant or over capacity grid is fixed. No one likes blackouts!

"Just there": Transportation: He lets you know about back ups all right, but he does seem a little to happy when you put rapid transit in the city. He takes his family for a ride on it!

Finance: I never hear from her, so I just put her in this category.

Own agenda....: Environmental: Obviously working for the interests of environmentalist groups.

Health and Education: Likewise for teacher and healthcare unions. She whines whenever something is just over that particular limit.

Excuse me for this rather silly post.

I love the Utilities Advisor. Light it up, dude.

I actually don't like the Safety advisor much because the constant fires in my city make me feel less gifted to see his face every 5 seconds.
