Will there be draggable transitions to elevated RHW? I just want to know.

Well, aldini10, normally we don't give out release dates . . . however, in this instance, we can because it's been released today! 4.gif  The files are already up on the LEX and they've been uploaded to the STEX as well, though they won't show up until the next update cycle.

Two things to note for those of you installing the new release:

-Make sure you have removed/deleted all files pertaining to previous RHW releases.  The file structure has changed so Version 4.0 will not overwrite your 3.x or earlier installation.

-Also make sure you've installed the May 2010 NAM release beforehand.  Otherwise, you'll get "red arrow bugs" and the like.

My sincere thanks to everyone who helped out on this effort on the developmental end: Andreas, Blue Lightning, choco, Chrisim, deathtopumpkins, jmvl, Jonathan, mrtnrln, Shadow Assassin and toja, and to all the invaluable NAM Associates, who went above the call of duty and tested everything thoroughly.  And to the community for their continued support of this project!

So, is RHW part of the NAM pack that I downloaded or is it something separate?

If it is not part of NAM, then I am having trouble finding it.

Here I was about to suggest diagonal flyovers... hehe.

This is amazing, and will allow us way more realistic flyovers and interchanges. I can't wait until it's done downloading!

Next project: perhaps you guys would find it a challenge to try and build 3 highways stacked on top of each other (such as in a 4 level stack interchange). As in, if you'd drag an EMIS/ERHW4 over another one, it'd go over it (rising to level 3). And diagonal too of course! Now that would be cool...

The new RHW is awesome, but I seem to be having a problem with the flexfly system:

When I build it over a RHW4-highway, it looks like this:londonianajajajawawiewa.png

One tile of the curve seems to be missing. When I demolish a certain tile of the highway under it, it looks correct:londonianajajajawawiewa.png

Plopping flexfly first, then drag RHW under it or first the highway and then the flexfly, it doesn't make a difference: the problem always occurs. Clicking around it doesn't seem to help.

So, I guess my question is clear: why is this happening and what do I need to do to solve this?

Thanksalot,

Tim

Edit: Why are there no flexfly's with the yellow line on the outside? They would be very useful to make trumpet interchanges.

^^ That's something for version 4.1. Vince (Blue Lightning) is working on the FLEXFly A2 for the inner curves (with the yellow line on the outside)

About your problem: that should be a RUL-bound problem. We'll look into it.

An update of the RHW (to Version 4.04) has just been uploaded to the STEX, which merges in the Version 4.03 patch fixes as well as fixing a few issues pointed out since then.

Additionally, the NAM and NWM have been updated as well.

For me, the RHW Mod won't work with cars. It works perfectly fine with trucks, though I haven't tried it with busses or mass transit yet. In my city, I have an avenue with residential at one end and industrial on the other. I sucessfully connected both ends with elevated avenue, but then once I put RHW-4 going under, all car traffic stops and the residential are left without jobs. The same thing happens if I drag MIS across the avenue.

Basically cars aren't willing to travel over any RHW, even if it's just going under or crossing.

Sorry if this was asked before.
