What a surprise! I work right around the corner from that building, will be nice to plop it down on the map. BTW, what happened to the Plaza Hotel and your other BAT's?

I'd associate myself with previous feedback expressing concern about the darkness of materials, bricks in particular...RL thing actually looks lighter, or at least "feels" lighter.

Oh, another difference is about the flutings in the lower part of the building - which appear being in the same color as the rest of the front facade.

Keep it up.

It's looking fabulous though I don't like the air-con units. It looks like they are brand spankin new while everything else on the building looks dirty and used.

Ok, a little update, I modified most materials and textures and I think the day scene is closing in on being finished.

Hanson784: Oh, really, what are the odds? :) I hope to finish the plaza some time not too far in the future.

Looks great, I think the brick and the glass texture may need some fixing but nothing you can't handle. I think the back brick texture need a little red or saturation, because in real life it appears to be like that on the back wall. The facade wall look to gray I think it need a little yellow.

I'm not sure if you use Photoshop or not, but for the back brick, in Photoshop I use Hue/Saturation. Hue +6 and Saturation +10. For the facade brick I use Brightness\Contrast. Brightness -12 and Contrast +8. Next on the same facade wall I used Hue/Saturation. Hue +14 and Saturation +46 and Brightness +4. Again in the facade you can also all Color Balance, where it say yellow and blue the value you should use is 8, no higher that that.

I also think the glass need some work, just try to play with the transparency, It look to much like the texture is on the glass instead of both having a texture on the glass and reflecting at the same time.

I don't really have any suggestions. Yesterday I looked at anotn's post on my notebook monitor, and now I notice that the monitor I'm currently looking at displays the colours quite differently, so I can't really judge any subtle changes now. All I can say is that I was totally flabbergasted when I saw the finished BAT. This is really your masterpiece so far, you can be proud of yourself.

Thanks guys! :) I followed some of Aaron's advice with the red bricks, and decided the day scene was finished. Now I think the night scene is about done too, maybe I have to reduce the illumination from the ground plane and adjust glare, what do you think?

I think you could turn down both glare and the illumination from the ground plane a bit, yes. Not that I wouldn't gladly take this building as is, but while you still have time and motivation to make those final tweaks, I'd say go for it. :)

I just noticed that the glass for some of your windows have like small 'noisy' pattern that looks really weird, I think this is more evident in the night scene if look at some of the none illuminated windows. It looks like almost have of them have it and half of them don't, I hope it is clear what I am talking about. Also there is a column of windows on the right bottom preview that are not illuminated, these almost seem to correspond to the stair access, so wouldn't you expect to actually have them all illuminated?

Other than that I think looks fantastic.

First thing, the windows, I agree with you it looks a bit weird, the "noise" should be bigger, second if I understand you right here, what you're refering to is actually not windows, it's an external access to the stairwell (you are right about that part :) ), and not windows, you can see it here, on this floor plan Vlasky found. I may add some light fixtures though to illuminate these "balconies" but I'm not sure. I'm gonna try with some lights there and see how it looks.

Thanks people for the kind words, I have made most of the fine tuning and I hope to export it this soon, and yes Andrey km it will be a 2x2 tiles lot.

Could you make a small light illuminate the address numbers on the front? I think it would be a little touch that would go a long way, the front of the building is pretty dark right now. Either way this is a fantastic looking building, great job!

I'm just dropping in here to say that the work here is fantastic. I think maybe you should tone down the lights a bit, it glows a bit too much.

BTW, when are you going to continue with the the Plaza, it is going to be a much-needed addition to people's cities.

Oh look, it's on the STEX. :)

Utvaw: That's a good idea, unfortunately I had already exported it, so it stays this way, I hope you'll like it anyway. :)

hahei: Thanks, the glare is reduced I hope it's to your liking. I will continue on the Plaza soon, I think, it's a little bit hard to keep the scene organized due to its size, so it becomes hard to work with.

Let me start by saying that with the previous release you have really catapulted yourself into the premier league of BATters. You can really be proud of yourself, that was top-notch work all around. And to top it off, a very interesting building choice!

As for your new BAT, it looks like a great model so far. Is it a 2x3 or a 1x2? Either way, it's a beautiful corner building, and as such it will be very welcome in my plugins folder. I'm looking forward to watching it progress, and I'll keep an eye on this thread. Thank you very much for your contributions to the game. :)

Great start for this bat of yours so happy to see another corner building. :D I hope you can do a variation for this building because of the size and I would love to use it over and over again in stead one time in a neighborhood. :D
