Interesting update to you cj there Exchagga... Hopefully there isn't anything behind those gates and walls that will concern the SCJU member Nations 41.gif

Im sorry for doing this again, and Im sorry for having to apologise so much!
My computer crashed twice more, and Im pretty sure its one of the NAM puzzle pieces thats doing it22.gif
Ill comment now then, for the benefit of those kind, kind people who posted44.gif
Deathtoall: Thankyou, I like explosions too29.gif
Oroen: Those ponds and streams are fantastic, especially the waterfalls! (Im glad Maryland's building roundabouts, they're the way to go)
Fox: How long have you been lurking here47.gifAnd the walls will hopefully be revealed soon.
6U: Another lurker sneaking out of the shadows? And thankyou48.gif. I have been playing SC4 since the week it came out, but I only have really picked up on it since starting this CJ.

Although residents are still recovering from the aftershocks of the infamous September Crash, the so far unaffected Suerte is still growing in expectation of the Games later in 2005.
The main areas of New Aucklands rapidly growing Bio-Tech industry are Devonport, and now Suerte. Because of the fertile plains on each side of the Waitakeres, its a perfect location for the advanced agricultural research cenrtes.

The last picture shows the produce processing buldings for export, mills, freezing works, and shearing centres.

    New Auckland Herald headlines:
    Strange Happenings out West
Residents are still noticing trucks and vans heading down the side street near the town of Waitakere, but what they re doing is still uncertain.
    Another Wreck?
Construction workers today disovered what appears to be another wreck of an aircraft, from as yet unidentified origin. The workers on Suertes Sportcentre noticed a shining pile of twisted metal down the slope. On closer examination, it was found to be another crashed aircraft, possibly crashing around 1.5 years ago, before the last crash site was found.
AI5 has taken both the wrekage and workers into their HQ in King's Harbour for examination, and extra securit guards have been put in place to avoid the embarrasment of the last robbery.

Sorry simonuts, the pic wont load. Can you direct me to which update you saw it in? (E.g: Page 2, update 2)19.gif
EDIT: Ignore that, it decided to load today! For some reason, that base has attracted alot of questions. It's the default in-game air force base. It either comes with rush hour, or if not, its from an Official download at the maxis site http://www.simcity4.com/

Welcome back, I have some more bad news, but Ill try not to apologise. SC is still crashing, and I think its still that light rail. I managed to squeeze out a few photos(see below), and I have learnt to save regularly, so I didnt lose too much.
    Anyhoo:
@ Pipishere: Nice comment as usual31.gif(I liked the first pic you changed your sig to, this one's a bit green)
@ Simonuts: Since I BAT as well as a 14th century toddler, Im glad decola could help you out! (Thanks for that Decola, and your comment too16.gif)
@ Skyshroud: I was actually referring to the last wreckage that got stolen back on page one. I forgot about the real stolen plane, that was a bit of a laugh on election night18.gif
This picture shows what I think is cuasing the crashes, the ElRail-GLR connector.

Kings Harbour has had a jump in construction, as demand for New Auckland goods grew suddenly. A new port is under construction, to serve the new bio-te industries springing up around Devonport.
    Port-Build.jpg
On the south side of the harbour, east of the kings house, a new waterfront has been built fo the CBD. New Aucklands only current cruise ship port was built here, along with a new El-Rail station.
    Waterfront.jpg
The original CBD is still growing, but most new constuction is happening over the shore.

Heres another small update, thankyou all who visited, even if Pipishere was the only one brave enough to post44.gif
    Header.jpg
The CBD is still expanding southward, and planners are constructing a new network of mass-transit options, so tourists, or residents without cars, can move around quickly and easily.
    trainzone.jpg
This shows the rail hub in N.A. This station is not only the intercity terminal, but also is the long-distance terminal for Kings Harbour.
Surrounding the terminal, is zoning for hi-density commerce, and a new pedestrian mall, requested by the fashion designer community of N.A.
    Pedmall.jpg
The waterfront has attracted many corporations due to its high visability. The first to complete construction is the Vendetta Corp.
    towerside.jpg
    ------------
Another little update, just to whet your whistles. A larger one may be ready tomorrow22.gif

A few great updates there Exhagaga. I've been keeping an eye on your cj since the begining.. never posted before the last time though. I tend not to post too often, through lack of time and other commitments. I do enjoy comming to look at your cj though.

I look forward to the skyscrapers developing. The first one there looks promising. The fashion mall is going to be an area I look forward to seeing how it turns out. The use of transportation in this small update is very interesting. I hardly ever use the El rail.. but you've given me a few ideas for future use. I've never really looked into the ped malls much either.. but they look quite interesting there.

I look forward to seeing more updates.

    Looking great so far.

I promised an update, and for once, I delivered (dont expect too much description though)! But first, personal thanks:
    @ Pipishere: Thanks19.gif
@ gggg: Glad you enjoyed it (sorry)
@ Fox: Thankyou, I like comments like this *hint* so you have made up for your lack of previous comments1.gif. I look forward to the skyscrapers too, theyre starting to build... As for transport, I tend to go overboard with mass-transit, and I have never really used el-rail much before, but I really like it!
    @ Leech: Thankyou48.gif
    Header.jpg
While projects elsewhere progress, Kings Harbour is leaping ahead, as the city prepares for an influx of tourists.
    ANewOverview.jpg
This is just an updated overview of the CBD area, taken by a plane flying in from Wellington.
In town, the new arts district centred around the fashion ped-mall is attracting worldwide attention. Its location is perfect, close to the CBD, and many transport options.
    Museum.jpg
This is the new National Museum, there is not much there yet, NA is only 3 years old! It is also an active research facilty, mainly of anthropology and humanities.
    ArtDistrict.jpg
This is Derelict, the NA centre for new designers. It offers an art school, and gives many designers room for theie first pieces.
    Elrailstation.png
This is the central El-Rail station, rumoured to be made from many plans stiched together randomly.
    Sunken2.jpg
This is just a sunken highway, i have no comment about it, and i dont really know why it has a picture.

    Spotted in the N.A. Herald:
    Nuclear Weapons in New Auckland
After concerns raised by many citizens, the nation has decided to go nuclear as a deterrent to any attacks. It was determined that possesing nuclear weapons will provide the best defence against any attack, at the most cost-effective price. Although certain SCJU members remain cautious of N.A.'s decision, certain promises are made to ensure these nuclear weapons are there to keep war from N.A.'s shores, and to avoid pointless death of thousands.

    Interesting developments, though i do recommend the following;

Watch out for bums on the grounds , it's so much more efficent too flatten or create multiple levels (almost like steps) to build on, you'll find it much more appealing on the eye.

Also, get hold of a slope mod, iy can be a pain the backside to get right while laying roads, but its worth it in the long run.

I'm also looking into this nuclear research and weaponry closely.

    Kindly
    6U

Good evening all, Im sure fate does not want this CJ updated, not only is the game still crashing(Ill just live with it until my new PC25.gif), but NZ internet seems to have a little meltdown every night, oh, and I walked 10miles in the snow to get here. Keep those comments coming, they make it all worthwile...
@ Pipishere: It is a very nice water texture, i think its from the mods page. Also I spice up some of my pics to make them that extra bit inviting10.gif
@ Spoti: Another Kiwi, yay!44.gif I havnt been to Napier, (Im a JAFA) but It looks very nice. Thanks fro dropping by9.gif
@6U: Thankyou, I like suggestions, they can only help! I usually level out the ground before I zone, but I have gotten lazy and sorta rushed to get these pics out43.gif, one day Ill go back and fix it. As for the slope mod, Ive been thinking about it, but SC4's acting up so i dont want to risk anything.
    Header.jpg
The CBD grows still, and now residentsare beginning to populate South Harbour. The area to the east of the city, near the St Marque Memorial Bridge, has become an ideal spot for many residents.
    ParadiseCliffs.jpg
In the CBD itself, the New Fisher Stadium was sped through the planning process and rushed to completion. Why the King wanted a new stadium so fast is still a mystery.
    Stadium.jpg
After staying quiet for the past few months, the King has decided to build a managerie for his exotic pets, as well as the Royal TV station, where the Kings favourite programs are aired for the Kings,(and his citizens), viewing pleasure.
    Castlezoo.jpg
At Devonport, industries have clamoured to build facilities near the new deep water port.
    port.jpg
The Devonport Motorway stretches from the North CBD to Devonport, across the harbour and along clifftops, and is already suffering from gridlock at rush hour.
    CliffHway.jpg
    ------------------
Seen in the New Auckland Herald
Navy Up to something in Devonport
The planned Naval port in Kings Harbour is finally under construction, but the Navy is keeping much more tight-lipped about it then expected. Although the press were allowed a short tour of the facilities, most questions were avoided. Also, many people have noticed in photographs details of equipment that the Navy has said it would not be using.
Whether Canberra has anything to do with it is so far unknown.

The last few updates have been looking great Exchagga. Nice Regional shot of Kings Harbour there. The water is very blue, very tropical.

I think the NA centre for new designers should be torn down and replaced with a new, more modern facility. Maybe have a competition for local aspiring artists to have a go picking a new design.

The highway running through the residential area in that update could do with a more greening approch to it. As you know from my cj I love to make everything green and  aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Greening up around those residential areas with more parks and trees along the highway... more than what is there already would look nicer, and also help reduce noise and pollution from the highway.

St Marque Memorial Bridge? 43.gifI feel honoured to have a bridge named after my Nation.

The stadium is looking good... although I'd place more pedestrian friendly areas around it, like paving and more of these open air cafes. Maybe a few statues and art works. I'd suggest moving the commercial to the other side of the road and leaving that entire block free for pedestrian use. Maybe think about some car parking nearby too.

Is that His Majestys castle? Looks impressive...can't wait to see more of that area.

I look forward to seeing more detailed plans for the new Naval port in Kings Harbour. I gather it could be quite special.

Overall a great update Exchagga... sorry for not posting for awhile....been a little busy. Keep up the great work though.
