In most cases active posts and actual posts should be close enough to each other to make little difference in the average ppd.

See, I keep forgetting this, since it is not the case for me. I have about 7,000 more posts than "active posts".

Is having a lower ppd good or bad.

Neither. It just means you don't post as much.

So in other words, inactive posts are deleted or archived posts?

Makes sense why I would have such a discrepancy then.... and why anyone who's an old timer will have a significant discrepancy. A lot of threads from way back in the day are no longer with us for various reasons.

Gosh, 2005 seems like such a long time ago now. I'm just coming up on my 6 year anniversary.

I'm calling that "old timer" because I'm now starting to get people referring to me as having been on the forums for "a hell of a long time" and also an "eternity".There are, however, still people here, that aren't as active now, that I still look up to and think of them as always being here, and they know who they are.

You'll know when you cross that line from regular member to old timer, and it shouldn't be a predefined date, but when the opinions of others here on the forums deem you to have been on here long enough that they start referring to you as an old timer. But I don't want to class myself as one just yet
