@Duke: The rain - sun - fog - wind - thunderstorm mix is te so called evil april weather, and this gets replaced by a sunny week. For me a sunny weather without rain isn't an april weather.

24 wasn't on for quite as long as your mother's soap... but in terms of percentage of your life, it's a little closer.

I'm not a fan of soap operas myself but I can see how a cancellation would bother people. But she'll get over it.

I have all but eliminated tv from my life. I rarely watch anything but movies, news, and the Weather Channel. But I will watch Breaking Bad when it returns. That show is outstanding.

I stopped watching TV after I went to college. The TV was my roommate's, and then he moved out and I didn't have one at all.

I no longer have that level of lack of access, but I haven't picked the habit back up. I wouldn't really have much time to spend on it anyway (what with 55 hours a week devoted to work and commuting to and from it). My usage of the TV is, kinda likewise, pretty much limited to 4 things: news, baseball, Netflix, and video games. And on more days than not I don't turn it on at all. During the week most of my time between getting home and going to bed is usually spent on the computer, and the rest on personal maintenance (dinner, shower, etc.).

Bill Maher is way overrated. Most of his show is just people sitting around flapping their lips. That isn't entertaining. And when he does attempt comedy, he isn't very good at it. You can't just make insulting remarks and call it humor, it has to actually be funny!

Which is a shame, because the "new rule" format has a lot of potential that isn't getting realized.

Back after MANY months of no SIm City. Game crash. Uninstalled and re-installed, and starting over. Excited for that! But there's nothing on the signs on stores that say you need pants to go into a store. No shoes, no shirt, no service. But I hear there's a law somewhere about pants.
