I don't know why I'm still awake. I have to awake even earlier than usual tomorrow... or um... later today that is.

I'm adding more music to my SC4 music folder.

To search for the ideal city today is useless. For all cities are different. Each one has its own spirit, its own problems, and its own pattern of life. As long as the city lives, these aspects continue to change. Thus to look for the ideal city is not only a waste of time but may be seriously detrimental. In fact, the concept is obsolete; there is no such thing.

You don't tick them - just select custom tunes and it will play them itself (make sure they're mp3's though, I had some m4a's in there and they did nothing). You can deselect the ones that came with it if you so wish.

Nope. That doesnt work either. Still that means the tutorial on the website and manual was wrong :L

I Do Wat Duke87 Does.

Or more like did. It's been a few years since I last played SimCity. :ooh:

Putting on a CD in the background would be similarly archaic. I ripped my music collection to my hard drive in July of 2005, so I'm not playing CDs in the house anymore. I do, however, still use them in the car as that is the only means I have of putting on music in there other than using the radio.

The cd player in my car hasn't worked in over 4 years now. I always choose other purchases over replacing it. A big reason why is because one of my speakers is blown so that would have to be replaced too. What would be the point of getting a new cd player if the music would sound like crap in the back? But you can't just replace one speaker... gotta replace at least two if not four or six. The tweeters are fine and so are the 2 others in the front but the back ones have got to go.

It gets worse. I wouldn't want to lug around that old cd book with 212 discs in it so I would get a player that works with an mp3 player. But my current one only holds 4GB, so I would want to replace that too. Now obviously I don't need to buy all this junk at once but I haven't bothered to buy any of it yet.

So yeah. There you have it. Have I said this before?

I rotate CDs in and out of my car. Obviously can't keep them all in there at once (and I insist on keeping them in their boxes, I don't do the booklet thing), but that's just as well, as most of my CDs aren't what I would consider driving music.

My car does have a jack that you can plug your mp3 player into, but I don't have an mp3 player, so it doesn't get used.

Oh, also, this all only applies to roadtripping. Driving locally, the stereo is off unless I have a passenger who reeeeally insists on otherwise. Partly this is because my local driving is often in situations where the mood demands silence (I don't want music blaring in my ears at 7:30 in the morning when I'm on my way to the train station, too jarring). But mostly it's because I insist on listening to music by the album, without interruption if at all possible, and if I'm not going to be on the road continuously long enough to finish an entire CD, that won't work.

I followed that tutorial, and it's working fine for me...

Are you putting them in the Program Files/Maxis/SimCity 4/Radio/Stations/Mayor/Music folder (or Region instead on Mayor if you want it there)?

What ever became of Korot? He was one of the top posters if I recall.

Duke: Any intentions of treating us to an updated list in the near future? Now that I'm thinking of it and all.

I haven't a clue what happened to him either.
