sigh.... I really shouldn't visit this thread. 

Simfox is still active I think on another website I will not name (don't want people to harass him there) but he stopped with SC4 completely.

 

There's quite a few things I like.... I'm gonna save the renders maybe one day I will have the time to BAT them.

In the most recent one, 1 and 3 from Chicago are Darn42. 2 is from Urban Abstraction.

The two diagonal ones after that are by Za and are adjacent buildings located in Rochester, New York.

The two small ones might be by Glenni but I don't remember.

The SIR one is by Sirroland. ("Branding" has turned out to be useful for once! )

I don't recognize the white one but it's very nice.

The brown apartment tower, for some reason I think that's a SC2k/3K recreation by Huston but I have no idea why I think that.

The church might be by IL.? If it's the BAT I'm thinking of it was by one of the BATers who used gmax, and then got 3ds Max and started that, and then stopped BATing shortly after.

Well, not all is lost! About a week or two ago, @thingfishs posted a solution over on SC4Devotion; https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=18597.msg534458#new
that restores all Photobucket images in Chrome / Firefox. 

Just went through your BAT-Thread, and most images back to around march 2012 is live again with this fix!

No, I don't mean my upbringing.

I do actually have a fairly consistent track recording of releasing what I have, but every so often there's a rotten bit of luck.

That is what happened in 2018 - Foolishly I hadn't backed up my drive, and lost all my 2017-2018 work.

 

These are some of the victims. * insert Law and order SVU theme*

First and foremost, I was working on the first house of what would be a third Norwegian house set.

Had most of the model finished, and started work on what would be the foundation, for sloped lotting goodness.

Then there's this, the Cumberland Gap tunnel Between Tennessee and Kentucky.

Other than that, there's a few barely started ones, and a few so badly modelled that it makes me cringe.

An old hotel, far too Half life 2 wannabe.

A combined bus station, hotel ( low standard), a few NIMBY shops etc.

The start of Haugesund city hall ( I might still make this in updated form) 

A seaside condo in my city. While a few of the elements *are* real, the proportions are just way out of whack.

A few bus automata that never saw the light of day. However,  I still have the textures, and I think I still have some of the models.

So I may be able to restart this, automatais like 80% textures, 20% model anyhow - so it's not like making a whole ass BAT from scratch again.

Oslo city buses of former Oslo Sporveier, since changed to #Ruter.

All though still red.

wow, I had no idea of the existence of this segment, the amount of beautiful projects that never saw the light of day is impressive.
Although there are some that were finished by mattb325, of the latter; By the way, I know that it is not the subject of the publication, but does anyone here know something about mattb325???

I'd like to add that I have not one but TWO models of 500 5th Avenue. One from like 2005 which is pretty awful, and one from 2022 which is only ~10% done.

I'm sure this has been asked before, but out of curiosity, what are the typical road blocks that keep a model getting from 90% done to 100% done? Obviously I can think of a ton of reasons that can derail creative projects in general, but I'm wondering if there is anything specific to BATing that can cause problems.

I'm trying to get into BATing myself, so I'm just curious what to look out for.

I actually like to collect "funky" models  someday I plan to create a small city using only very early Bats and those that got poor ratings   there is a history that needs recognition

This was the latest version of @SimFox, which @Vlasky got hold of and continued working on...I meant i'd 100% take that as is!!
