Vlasky- lol, these are Bronx apartments.

    lucky7- Thank you!!!

T Wrecks- Thank you!!!! I have been do the night lights like that for a while now, sense the Worthington Building.

    gio10469- Thank you!!!

    Sgt Pepper- Thank you!!!

    Bainbridge Row

Here's is some in game images I hope you like it, another thing I hope you like is the stairs on the corner building. The corner lot will not take really slight slopes because of being on a corner lot, but it will take some slope. I have not merge the night model with the day because I'm lazy, but I'm going to get to it. the trees on the lot will be removed, I just wanted to try something new that's all.

Wow these look so awesome on the slopes! Making these buildings slop friendly definitely adds alot of new flavor to the game. I usually dislike in-game slopes because of how bad some buildings and lots look on them but these look great!

This feature of slope-friendliness is really an invitation to make stupid puns - I'd say with these buildings you'll ascend to the top in style! Ta-da! But seriously...

you're doing a mighty fine job here, and you're also filling a gap, because for many years the range of W2W apartments was mainly restricted to low wealth... with the aid of these apartment blocks, we'll be able to create urban medium-wealth areas filled with apartments instead of individual walkups. I really don't have anything to suggest or criticise at this time - I'm only looking forward to the release(s). :golly:

    Sgt Pepper- Thank you!!

    gio10469- Thank you!!

    Heblem- Thank you!!!!

Valsky- Thank you, In a way I have conquer the slopes, now it's time to conquer something else.

T Wercks- Thank you so much, when I made the Timpson Pl Row I thought it would be a great idea to make the NYC apartments to be able to work with low wealth and medium wealth sims, I hate having all the cool new york city style buildings, like Don Miguel and maszar to be only low wealth, then when it's time to moe in the medium wealth sims a lot of the beautiful buildings will have to be destroryed, but know most of the buildings I have made not just NYBT buildings they should and need to work with two wealth types. The ones that does not havetwo wealth types are most of the ealy bats until you get to the Graham apartments, I notice that making the Graham apartments change the way I have made bats, but I can't forget the worthington apartments that was a begining of a new good bater. For the Graham apartments it took over a year to finish because I felt it was not ready, but the Graham apartment really made a turning point for me as well as the Worthington apartments. One thing that bothers me everyday the the first two bats, they are my worst bats and should vanish off the STEX.

harishna- Thank you, and I am happy to see you have stop by.:D

    NYBT unnamed project

Here's a new Bronx apartment I was working on today, the modeling has gotting far. This bat I made came from the past from the NYBT thread, I lost the old model so I decided to make a new one. I have thought that it just might be a good idea for me create a new building everyday this week, just the weekdays and on the weekend I can finish up on the bats, one of my main jobs I always wanted to do is to work fast but have good or great quilty on my bats, I do not want to rush, but I want to feed you downloaders with something that is truly need in the STEX, I just hope this work. What really slow things down is making the textures and making custom LOD's, I want my LOD's to be skin tight on my slope buildings, if not things will no look good.

I thought of holding the Bainbridge Row until Gwail finish the NYBT quries. If it takes to long I may not have no choice but to upload them. everything is finished, just need to make a read me and a installer. When it comes to making installers, I think I need a person to dubble check my read me's and installers for any errors.

Right now I can't say because, look were the door are, there is no ally for me to make stairs, unless I do what I have did with the Bainbridge Row corner building and put the stairs in front of the building. What do you guys think??:???: Slope friendly or not slope friendly, I know It's not possible to make every building slope friendly right now.:golly:

Right now I'm going to add a link on were the building is on google maps. It will be above Vlasky's post The building not far from Timpson Pl Row, Bainbridge Row, and Kingsbridge Apartments. Alot of the buildings are on the same road, I should say this is my favorite side of Bronx.

    OMG!! Those slopes are amazing!!

You must teach me, I will teach you some 3DS MAX :D

I wish you could render those in 3ds max.. If you're willing, I could do a test and see how they convert into 3DS MAX.. I could help you out getting on the 3ds max tracks. Just PM me again :)

    Great Job, Aaron! :)

Well, maybe not when we think about a slope in the road towards which the building faces. However, we might also have a perfectly level road, but the ground might slope downwards from the road so that the ground floor at the front of the building would be situated higher up at the back of the building because the ground there is lower than street level. In this configuration, "normal" buildings on slopes look somewhat less ridiculous than in the worst-case scenario, but I still think that a fully slope-friendly building would look much better - especially if there's a side or rear entrance.

kellydale2003- Thank you!!! I will try my best to help you so how to make some slope friendly buildings and you can try to teach me some 3ds Max.

T wrecks- Thank you and you are so right, I have made some hills and the back of the building is not level with the road, so I will try and see how it will look as a slope friendly building, but first in need to get back to work on it.

lucky7- Thank you!! can wait to see your bating updates soon.:ohyes:

Here's a little teaser, I do not know if it's going to be a success, really hope it does be a successful bat.

    Beekman Hotel Tower

Heres the Beekman Hotel tower, the GMAX verson was never finished hopefully the 3ds MAx verson can be.:D Now for the 120 Wall Street I have no plans of making that yet. The Beekman Hotel Tower is an apartment building now, so if I finish it, it will be an apartment building and a commercial service building, that seem to be the only way to get me to make a commerial building right now.

Keep your object count under control and you will be fine.

Nice to see you make the jump to 3dsmax! You will have to get used to the more powerful materials (lots of settings to play with) and you will be able to (might need to) model more of the details since MR can render them so much better.

I don't think you will have a problem adapting though. Beekman Hotel look good so far, keep up the good work!

AMAZING STUFF!! The city I'm building draws thematically from NYC (among others), and I agree, it is infinitely harder to find a diverse range of residential buildings, especially when you consider that residential buildings realistically make up the majority of the city compared to commercial! I flipped out when I saw you said you wanted to make 20+ buildings, that would be incredible. Just want to say thank you so much for making these BATs, they are beautiful and I will be downloading them all.

Aaron is now BATting in Max.

Am I the only one left working in gmax?

It's like everyone else on the block has a PS3, and I have a broken down Atari 2600...

Looking forward to seeing what you can do in the new program...

This is totally unrelated to the latest replies, but when I played my current US-themed town the last time, I realised that we could really use some good W2W, mid-rise, residential corner buildings (2x3, 3x2, 2x2). Between you, TagOne, marcszar and Don Miguel, we have a nice assortment of W2W apartment blocks by now (especially for low-wealth, but you are going to fix this! :thumb: ), but corner buildings are still somewhat scarce, which leads to building repetition. Hence it's great to see that there is a corner building among your recent projects.

SimHoTTDDy- ok, on the beekman Tower the building is one object untill it's time to detach the items.

jwsteele- Thank you!!! I do want to make about 10 or 20 mid rise apartments from Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan. If I can do that I can call myself a bating legend. Thaing about doing that is it's going to take time.

madhatter106- Don't get upset, you may end up getting max someday, right now I'm still using GMAX, I have to finish upsome projects.

Sgt Pepper- I don't even have a ps3 or a xbox, so sad.

T Wrecks- Thank you!!!! we do need more of these apartments, I'm trying my best to fill in the gaps.

    Lucky 7- Thank you!!!

Sorry for dobble posting, I wanted to ask a question, does anyone know what's the name of the tool that convert a GMAX file to a 3ds Max file. Vaskly thought about it would be a great thing to convert my apartment bats in 3ds max. Please don't say that it's not possable, beacause it it's possable.

Heres an update on my unnamed bat, it's not much but it's geting there.
