So I was watching the opening video thing while SimCity was loading and there was something that caught my eye that I never noticed until recently-
5fjln6.jpg
I circled it in red, It's one of those brown boxes that say "SimCity.com" that we all hate to see and I just saw it in the opening cinematic to SimCity4. I hope this is the right place to post this...I really didn't know where. This might not be the most interesting thing ever...but I thought it was worth to share. 3.gif

Haha, excellent.

Shows that this game was MEANT to have trouble with brown boxes from the get go. I'm aware that they can pass unnoticed when you swipe over the city, but I'm surprised that the guys that put together the clips to form the intro didn't see it. After all, making all those effects requires you to look at each section of the video several times.

To small and unnoticeable to be a warning in my opinion.

If the red and green splotches are supposed to be cars/trucks/etc., try putting the game on hardware rendering.

To search for the ideal city today is useless. For all cities are different. Each one has its own spirit, its own problems, and its own pattern of life. As long as the city lives, these aspects continue to change. Thus to look for the ideal city is not only a waste of time but may be seriously detrimental. In fact, the concept is obsolete; there is no such thing.

-Steen Eiler Rasmussen, 1898-1990 (SimCity 2000 User Manual).

Mostly from when you download a plugin, and you are missing dependencie(s), what the game relies on to make that plugin function as it should. If it cannot find that dependency, then it shows up as a box, or missing props or textures.
