I used to prefer a desktop, but now I prefer a laptop (more portable).

Have you ever had Chicago Style Deep Dish Pizza?  If so, where were you when you had it?

I have. Pizzaria Uno, amongst others. Not a huge fan... too heavy and the crust is too greasy. I like hand tossed.

How do you pronounce "pecan"?

Time to time, I'm reminded of them myself because of how I have to enforce them.

Maarten, your mentioning of chocolate milk reminded me of a weird dream I had that involved me getting chocolate milk because there was no other beverage available. To the next forumer, has the situation where you're forced to take the less desirable beverage ever happened to you constantly?

No, as water has been my favorite.

What is your favorite cartoon character?

Tom and Jerry, the older cartoons in general.

I am practicing with the GIMP. I just downloaded a bunch of snow-patch brushes and so far I am liking the results! I will post results later, probably in the Show Us What You're Working On thread.

What are some of the best City Journals you have seen? What would you say makes them unique?

Schulmania has a great story and a wonderful, inclusive feel to it.  Fox's Asgard feels alive, and has wonderful pictures.  Paeng's Paengia is so intricately lotted. Huston, spursrule14, and TekindusT have great photo editing skills.  Nathanthemayor's journal has improved so much as he's worked on it, to me that is incredibly impressive as well.  There are others I like but I can't seem to think of them right now.  I think that anyone who has a city ready to show, puts time into their journal, adds some details to make it feel 'alive,' those are the people whose journals I enjoy seeing.  Generally speaking, if you make a journal, chances are it's like that, so.

What are some of the best things you've read recently?  Why?  (psst, it doesn't need to be a novel)

The first thing that comes to mind is an academic article about Schindler's List and why it is perceived as an authentic movie. It looks at the techniques used to create the perception of truth. This of course linked to the question if it is problematic or not to fictionalize history (but Schindler's List was actually quite accurate). Yes, I know, but that's all I read these days...

The best movie of the previous year?

I think the best thing about me is that I'm not afraid to be different and unique, but other people may say otherwise.

EDIT: Sorry, forgot to ask a question. (It was early in the mornin' - brain not working yet.)

I think it's okay. But have a logitech G25 which is steering wheel with an H-shifter, that makes it a lot more fun.

Do you like racing games?

I say nothing.

Would you rather store up gold or diamonds, and why?

Not sure about gold or diamond. But my family has been talking about investing in Silver saying it's price will drop to around $15 per ounce and then jump up after hitting that low.

What are some of the coolest coins you have seen?

A giant .999 gold coin displayed at the Royal Canadian Mint. I have also seen an old Greek Coin alongside with a pre-Eurozone drachma. Also coins with holes in them :P.

Have you heard of the 'Rule of 72'?
