Who doesn't? But when I was in Germany, I was shocked at the extent of it. They put their stuff in 4 different bins; we have one recycling.

Of course I love the beach    I've always lived next to the ocean and the very thought of being away from the blue water and the white sand beaches makes me very sad.  Growing up I have done much surfing, windsurfing, jet skiing, wake boarding and kayaking.

EDIT:  Oh and you said "The Next Person" and that threw me off for a second and made me think we were in TNP thread... Nevertheless life goes on

I can, but I hate those wretched things.  My view of them is colored by the fact that old people in Japan seem to be using them as a method of suicide or insurance money collector.  They ride against traffic.  They pull out in front of you.  They ignore the road signs and basic laws that we are all supposed to follow.  On the sidewalks they cut off pedestrians, the old ladies with their umbrellas on rainy days are particularly heinous.  The road racers here in Japan are surprisingly courteous and conscientious of how they ride, though, so there are some positives.  In town, though... grr...

Goya, hands down.  Full of nutrients, cooked with gusto in Okinawa, but so bitter it makes beer taste like Coca Cola.  It's one of those things that I CAN eat, but I'm not sure I'd request it.

 

What region of the world makes the best food?  Why do you think so?

I'm a food snob, but I would have to go with French, or Basque.
French is just so simple, yet elegant! Basque/Spanish tapas cuisine is amazing too, the ease of it being able to be eaten as well as the variety of dishes offered.
