@AirportBuilder Thanks, it's primitive at this point, more like a place holder for when I get back around to it to make it properly.

@Compdude787 Apparently they did in the Sim Universe! Wait......where do ya see a Connie at??? That there sitting on the ramp has got to be a DC 4, 6, or 7, they have roughly the same shape. The BAe 146 is definitely out of place and it just sits there! It's too bad there's no Trimotors, DC 2/3s, 247s, Electras or any other plane from that period floating around in SC4!

If this is a question – you should really look for a thread were it fits better or open up a new one. Otherwise those who know may not see/find it and you don't get an answer. If uploaders say "no dependencies" they mean no external dependencies, but a lot always have references to other files (but then they are included in the download or they are from the base game/maxis). So there are still posibilites to get brown boxes: a) the uploader forgot something to include or made a wrong reference b) the installation process went wrong. c) you deleted something accidentaly d) well, everything that can go wrong will go wrong. It's only a matter of time. So first suggestion would be to reinstall. If it continues ask community if they have same problems with this specific file.

Most of the airports in this topic are very realistic and nice making, but how about something extreme, with 400 meters long runways with steep grade, located extremely close to hills and populated beaches, in the most dangerous locations possible? The next real world airports might give you some ideas...

Hey Nimafarid2007, I made those roadways using lot editor and I never released them on STEX.

Well, seems that mine will be the first post in 2017 in this thread...

This is an old airport, originally placed at the fringe of the city, nowadays surrounded by suburbs and middle-class neighborhoods. Cheap property and rent prices and good transport connections appealed many residents to this area, who live next door to aircraft like the A340. The approach to this airport, following the Columbia river, is loved and feared at the same time by pilots, due to the panorama views of the City of Columbia and the valley. The procedure is challenging and landing almost on the river requires a bit of practice.

This old airport went through one renovation and one expansion since its opening in the 1920s. The terminal building offers 7 jetways, already struggling to cope with the increased traffic caused by the rising of low cost carriers and the growth of the city. The pier, capable of handling 3 wide-body aircraft at the same, time opened in the 1990s to meet the demands of both airlines and the city.

Cargo traffic thrives in this airport during the late hours of the day. Columbia is a regional hub for FedEx Express, with one B757 stationed here. 

This airport is also a focus destination for Delta Airlines, which is gradually moving its operations to the newer, larger Columbia International Airport. A B757, bound to Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson is a staple at the end of the Pier in this airport, easily seen from the highway nearby.

If I recall well, this runway is found here [link]. Anyway, I recommend you to download all of xannepan's airport stuff, it's quite worth the try. Unfortunately xannepan's modular taxiways aren't 100% compatible with RMIP-2 taxiways, leading to that strange effect in my picture. One can always photoedit it though.

@TekindusT Okay , now I'm confused .  Is the runway in the image photo edited in or is that a FA runway ? If that is photo edited in you did a nice job . I have RMIP installed and am blown away with all of the stuff within it . It is like NAM strictly for airports though .

Technically it's a FA runway. Xannepan went into a frenzy of custom content creation and modding and came up with a huge airport set. It's a single overhanging lot and TekindusT integrated it into his airport brilliantly!

Several versions and 6 months on, Izuna Kamui International Airport's final revision is complete (moved the terminal in between runways, separated both RWYs further)

- Domestic Wing (Remote Ramp for turboprops and Ground Equipment yard at the other side)

 

- Aircraft Maintenance Hangar I

 

- Primary Runway RWY05L/23R (09L/27R since i have no custom markings) - 3,872m

 

- International Wing

 

- Cargo Terminal & Control Tower

 

- Private Aircraft ramp/hangar

 

- Maintenance Hangar II

 

- Secondary Runway RWY05R/23L - 3,200m

 

- The new LCC Terminal (T2) - linked to the main terminal via tunnel.

 

- Full layout (05L/23R's approach lights are on neighboring cities, its too long!)

 

- Ending with a night view
