I'd say too that the untextured version look better.

It's really a nice-looking building.

If it were for me, i'd find a way to continue the glass+fin arrangement up until the roof line - look at this building to get what i mean, even if in this case glass extends even above roof line.

I hear you buddy, good find as well..how do you find such little NYC buildings? I might even have a crack at that in the future..

So this is what I've gone for, what you had in mind?

I know the architect who built it, that's why :P.

Nah, to say it in a more precise and less arrogant way, the architect who built it came visiting at architecture school a couple of years ago back when i was at it, and he showed us some of his projects - this one i really liked, and remembered - so, that's how i "found" it.

I think you have adapted that design in a coherent way with the pre-existing reality of your building...the glass sticking out at the roof might seem odd at a first glance, but it's perhaps the most coherent soulution.

Personally, but that's just a matter of taste, i'd like to ask wheter you might consider doing a less dark, more transparent version of it - one that allows you to see what's going inside - then i know that making sunglass-like glass is easier :P.

Also, i'd see the back of this building with bricks or some other material rather than worn concrete - but that's also a "disinterested" suggestion, heheh.

These should be useful! So far I especially love the general shape of the front, the windows, and the roof textures. It also looks like this time around the colours might have a somewhat warmer hue that should make the BAT blend in just fine. As I zhink I have mentioned in your thread, your BATs so far have always been a bit on the colder side in terms of colours. Anyway, good to see new stuff from you! :golly:

    Glad to see you back!

Also curious about your progress with the FSH BAT restoration. I know there are quite a few in the "the ones that never made it to the STEX" thread that have full z5 renders, and it would be awesome to see them brought to life.

Should really do a BATTers roll call, very quiet on here the past 2 years! Everyone seemed to fall off the face of the earth at the same time*:???:

Well, look who's talking! You're certainly no better, mister. :noway:

    *:P

But seriously - I was excited to see a new post from you, and one with BATting progress at that! Seeing you around on the forums and looking at a nice WIP screenie sure sounded like a nice treat, and I'm happy to report that I feel satisfied on both counts. *:) To put it in your own words, I hope you won't fall off the face of the Earth again anytime soon...
