Fires are annoying.

Its really annoying to be constantly interrupted by fires to dispatch my fire department (and I have checked, no fire

hazards to be had, full water coverage, smoke detector ordinance, etc.). Is there any download that  is around that

makes the fire departments automatically respond to a fire?

avoid fires by providing fire coverage.. it's actually very simple to have never a fire

Just make sure every single building has fire coverage, or fires can still break out.

Look in the game options there is a option to turn random disasters off. That will make the fire disaster not happen. You will still need fire coverage

what i do (no mods) when a fire breaks out.... 1. go to fire... 2. press 'f" to pull up small fire station... 3. plop it next to fire....

after a while you wont have any fires

You know what? Fires think you are annoying, always trying to put them out. How rude is that? Just a friendly little combustion reaction minding its own business then *splash* "OH MY GOD, MY OXYGEN!!!" and dies shortly there after.

Some of the fire stations on the STEX have lots of fire coverage. Plop 4 or so of them and you'll cover a whole large tile.

Congrats for all of you not getting fires, but what about those of us who actually DO? I have boatloads of fire stations, many overlapping, my city is watered, and I still get fires every 2-3 MINUTES. I literally can't advance my city b/c I'm too busy with the fires. This is beyond frustrating.
