Is there a way to get SC4 to autosave as JPEG instead of PNG, or should I just manually convert them (or make a bash script)?

Well you can also Print Screen and paste to Paint for example BC thats one software I'm sure you have. And then edit to 800x600 with any picture viewer, I guess you're not using windows one.

Very nice interchange Mael. I second that Sam's question.

Yeah I can do that but I'd rather take the pictures with SC4 built in then just convert to JPEG later. I'll just do that I guess (although I'll forgot a lot of the time).

And I think there's a page flip bug right now -.-

Mael24, thats a very nice interchange  - and some good photoshopping too
However, in the first pic, the RHW-4 transitions suddenly into a RHW-2 - this will ruin that direction of the interchange. You can fix this pretty easily, but remember to change the RHW-4 over RHW-2 into a RHW-4 over RHW-4.

It is indeed a page flip bug. I had to manually enter page 48. Last page takes me to 47.

Don't worry, it becomes instinctive after a while. I've done 160 updates of Franklin County, and I use Paint.net to fine-tune the quality of JPEGs. It usually ranges between 87 and 98 percent for me (which is about 200-400 KB).

Man that interchange is awesome, where did you get the brown filler tiles for between the rail lines ? :3

I tried to get fancy to ease the heavy traffic load going to my industrial sector, so I made this interchange. I'm much more of a mass-transit guy, and I was working in an already-developed area with a hillside behind me.... bad recipie!

interchange.png

of course, this turned out bad enough where drivers stopped using it, making it useless. I'll be re-doing this soon, so stay alert!

Retep Molinari: An interesting creation, which I believe is a unique variant of diamond.

Aiumkastarkius: A nice partial-y. Simple, and functional.

Keep showing your interchanges.

1 of the 2 MIS-ramps whom intersect at-grade with the RHW-2 isn't necessary, as people can cross side at those spots.

It could be that riiga didn't have enough room to make the ramps (such as at the right neighbour connection) so he used intersections instead.

Geesh I've been lurking here for too long. I'm still here 3.gif. Fantastic work everyone! 9.gif

I recently revived a thread totally devoted to showing off your RHW networks, not just the interchanges on them.  You can find it HERE.

    Keep showing us your interchanges!

The first one looks like a diamond gone bad, the second one is just a mess. Well, that's how they look.

Please be so kind and explain to us what kind of interchange it is. It looks pretty good, I hope you will also show it when scenery has been placed.

    Greetings,

This one has been at SC4D for some time now but I figured I'd post it here. I've had experience with RHW before with RHW v2, but last fall I became unable to play SC4, and only became able to do so very recently. Having had experience with small-scale interchanges, I figured I'd go big immediately. (Normally I'm not fond of big interchanges since they clutter up my cities, but since I have no cities at all on this comp i honestly don't care about size)

    First go-round at a 4-way interchange (Yes I know there's unnecessary weaving...)

    NewCity-Oct21071240768920.png

Then I figured that was too simple so I added another 2-lane highway on the southwest.

    Interchange 1

Then I realized that an image that small is much too small for my preference, so I went and created a monstrous mosaic, almost 3000 pixels wide and 11.7 megabytes, too big for Photobucket or Imageshack. Here's a link (56K'ers BEWARE!) click here.

That second one is one hell of a complicated interchange! And you can make it even more complicated by adding a 4th intersecting road.

How did you get those tunnels? My RHW won't make them.

Daws007: you can make it creating a transition with an avenue or one-way road (or a road if you have an RHW-2).......you only have to drag the RHW to an existing tunnel created with Maxis standard roads......
