Doing a lot of reconstruction while off for the holidays. This 3-way junction had to be heavily retrofitted to push an additional lane through it.

I normally dislike connector ramps that kind of go all the way around the interchange- they are too long for my liking with too many turns. However the geometry of this junction required it.

The new owners of Centralia have bulldozed the graffiti-covered roadway, sadly.

I have a pal who would go there with spray cans and his friends to add graffiti to it.

If I could have got there, I would have written that World War II classic: "KILROY WAS HERE."

    Always leave room people.

Very well done...do you have traffic stats on the old vs. new interchange?

This highway carries 20-30k vehicles per tile. I run the NAM traffic simulator on low (I like the challenge) so it gives me a lot of traffic issues to tackle.

A few other interchange rebuilds I did to push an extra lane through.

Good use of additional greenery and environmental walls to address pollution and noise issues with the highways there.

Do those tall interchange lampposts come WITH the game or are they a ploppable mod? We have them all over New Jersey.

That completes a strip of new 6-lane highway here, complimenting the growth this part of my region has had. It runs through most of the built-up area of the highway. Undeveloped areas remain 4-laned.

haha I just don't see myself as doing that playstyle. Maybe I'm in denial about it? I'm not super duper picky about where road signs and stuff goes... I just want it to look good and actually be functional by having traffic use it.

@Tarkus @Flann Any idea on what's going on with the T interchange and the missing texture (the little bit of RHW-2) where the FLEX-flyovers are directly adjacent?

Try using the remover piece on this tile and redragging your networks. It's possible you may need an extra tile to get it to override properly.

Also for your second interchange- you don't really need the full intersections. The loop is kind of redundant if you have a direct ramp connection,  no need for the left turns from the avenue to the loops.

This one's fixed! Just have to finish placing the mast lights, and then develop the neighboring city districts to get the full traffic levels.

How can you place dirty industry next to high tech? I mean, high tech doesn't like high pollution though. Maybe the warehouse doesn't add much pollution. Plus, it's just in a small area and not that dense to kill high tech.

The overall city conditions favor some emergence of hi-tech, but that lot will likely abandon. Right now I don't want the dirty industry in this city district, but until I connect it to the main developed area of this region, the RCI demand will not favor an actual gentrified area.

    Do you use IRM?

Not at this time, although the only reason for which I'd go with it is for IRM-exclusive industrial buildings. I find the management of industries through taxes, city beautification and pollution control ordinances still effective (I do note that I got a set of improved Maxis ordinances to get a strong effect for a higher price), although I get people who don't want to deal with this situation in the first place.

In that area, I'll be removing all the industry once I find a proper place for a big industrial park near this coastal neighborhood, although I can't complain about seeing all those trucks filling the interchange ramps!

This nothing really fancy.  I like this intersection because I was able to create smooth curves and built this intersection with limited space due to water, border, terrain, and development of the Industrial Park.

Wow inspiring work leathershoes! I started playing with the RHW in the last few weeks after a long break from SimCity. I'm having a lot of fun. I made a big diamond interchange but decided it was too big so I tried to make something more compact. Then I finally managed to do something symetrical in the corner of the map. RHW is pretty addictive once you start playing with it *:D. Thanks all for sharing your inspiring work.

It's just a simple cloverleaf intersection, but I what I love about this intersection is that there is traffic in almost every direction.  I feel like getting the traffic simulator to use all routes can be one of the hardest things in SC4.  Thankfully the NAM team has been able to help that majorly compared to vanilla SC4.  Thank you NAM team!

I'm pretty happy with this highway/avenue roundabout intersection right next to my big messy interchange. Too bad I turned off the cars before taking the picture because the city is too big and lagging but it still is a statisfying picture IMO. I have to shrink my plugins I guess or stick with medium sized tile for the moment. I'm sad because I had many projects for this city but I can not keep going for the moment it seems that 450 000 habitants is the limit for my pc. :(

Surprised to see that interchange stubs and other types of incomplete interchanges are so rare in this thread!

Ready for an extension westward (right side of image) towards the suburbs:

Providing only a connection to the future airport site (bottom side, beyond view) because there's a local interchange providing more direct access elsewhere.
