Teachers that assign large loads had damned better well have long deadlines.  As an educator myself, I've been knowm to hand out assignments due at end of term.  When you are teaching a programming language you generally have a class assignment for each student that is a program to be handed in along with the final paper.

 

Setting up problems that don't have solutions on the Internet was always a problem.  The trick is to use a standard problem but add a twist or two.  Maybe even a separate twist for each student.  If the program doesn't work, it gets a code review but the mark will be less than half of the possible mark.  If the program doesn't compile, then it is a FAIL.

 

And yes, I've had teachers who thought they were the only one handing out assignments.  You have to learn to cope with these guys.

My history teacher requires us to do set of

4 pages of notes per chapter, and it must include

the following:

1. 4 pages complete of note (front and back)

2. each page has 2 level 2 questions (2 for front and 2 for back)

3. after the notes, a half to full page summary must be written.

4. ALL of it must be handwritten.

It doesn't seem like much, but please keep in mind that

I am a high school student with not so much time on his hands.

These are due every week, and sometimes he assigns two

of these assignments each week.

 

I am just unsure what to do to finish my notes before 3 in the morning.

By the way, what programming language do you teach?

Well, that's a little excessive.  Especially when you realize that your history book like all such was written by the winners.  However the exercise is good for you, and I suggest you curtail other activities to complete the work.  It is only for one session after all, and these things are sent to try you.  Handwriting is something everyone should practice.

 

Programming languages used:  assembler (various machines), FORTRAN, COBOL '61, '61 extended, '65, '9x, ALGOL '60, '68, PL/1, B, C, BCPL, C++, BASIC, Visual Basic (OOP), PASCAL, C# (recent).  I am retired and no longer teach anything.  My first programs were in machine language and toggled into the machine.  Spent about 10 years teaching PASCAL, VB, C/C++, systems, operating systems.

 

Happy Birthday Prince Charles of Wales.  65 today.  He has announced he will claim his old age pension and pass it to seniors in need.

Wow, I've never seen so many different programming languages in one sentence... 

I am only a novice in C++, and I have only read one book on it (the book is 800 and some odd pages long).

 

Regarding Prince Charles, i wish him a happy birthday. Him passing his pension to needy seniors is extremely generous.

On a side note, he is the same age as one of my grandfathers!

Our Thanksgiving day is the second Monday in October.  This holiday is peculiar to North America and is based on a celebration that started as a harvest festival in the New England colonies.  For Canada, the end of November is too late, as our harvests are earlier.  Winter has set in here in the frozen north.

Nope.  We can do some really nice Alberta Angus burgers and some Timmy's jelly donuts though.  Krispy Kreme's venture in to the frozen north was a bust, and they left.  We can also give you our best cup of coffee with that, too.
