Anyway the thought of dining out tomorrow night is making me hungry, but I don't know what I want. (this is where we are headed by the way: http://ambrosiacuisine.com.au/)

Ambrosia sounds great.  Mediterranean cuisine probably means excellent seafood and lamb specialities.  Enjoy.  We refrained from looking at the menu.

It was okay. Adele ordered the calamari which was good, I had the quail which was nicely seasoned with ricotta but a tad dry. Marinated capsicum was also good, and the service was good. Felt claustrophobic though, it was a tiny place!

So, the quail was overcooked?  Doesn't say much for their chef.  Small birds are a bit tricky, and you can overcook them in a second if you are not watching carefully.

 

Got an interesting tip from a firehouse cook.  Make shepherd's pie with canned meat.  Already cooked and shredded, so it is quick and with proper seasoning you can't tell it from fresh.  Wouldn't use salt horse though.  Navy beef takes too much soaking to get out the salt.

Mr. Moose, I've read your post follow-up and feel like the heel of a mole-rat...I shoulda 'thunk' before updating that post and knowing you meant well.  Hope you accept this 'care package' and the auto-bot and staff enjoys.   Sorry big guy.  The world's too out of control to be fuming over a postidge.  "Mamma Peyton pinched twisted my ear nearly off and told  me I better not dip into the basket and that it better make its way here intact!"

Well, I hope the autosystem looked after you properly.  Since I didn't get up until 11 a.m. this morning (watched movies until 0300), I am just considering lunch myself.  Think I'll have a salad of some kind as I have a heart of romaine that is coming to its best before date.  Probably romaine, scallions, Caesar dressing, some shaved up roast beef and some grated Parmigiano-Reggiano.  Damn!  That made me hungry, so off to the kitchen!

My mouth is watering after that. The autosystem served up the best chicken and egg-noodles with some sweet carrots and potatoes with cellery. Salt & peppered to taste. I hurt muself after 4 full bowls. But i am hanging around for dinner before hitting the road to Peyton

Well, after gorging yourself at lunch, dinner was probably pretty meagre.  I had some buttered pasta with more parmigiano-regiano.

 

Breakfast time.  I am thinking of bacon and eggs with toast and/or raw fried potatoes.

Comfort Food time!  Its lunch time now! I hear all the clinking of silverware hitting china and glasses being filled with ice and tea and other beverages from out here in the parkinglot!  Just got a whiff of oven baked bread onsite and cant wait for my Phatifornia Rep to meet me oitside. It is bone chilling out, i think i will head on inside, order something off that menu for an appetizer and wait inside!

My Compliments to the Service , the Chef, and the establishment!  I've had the best dinner in years! I must be getting on the road to Peyton, its rainy out and cold!  Do I pay for my carryout now or when I get to the door?  If @Phathead  arrives, please give my regard and that I ate enough for the both of us!  Will stop by for lunch tomorrow!
