Nothing suprising going on right now...

Already got touchdowns for fantasy out of Mendenhall and Manningham, i'd like to get some production from Deshaun Jackson though....

Still, my big guns haven't played yet, so i'm in good shape. As for the Pats, they get to play on the frozen tundra in two hours. Sox playoffs and Pats-Denver...good day 3.gif

I'm in favoring of changing the jerseys around now and then but, in some cases, I have to wonder who is making these decisions.

The Seattle Seahawks just look awful:

Seeing Kansas City with Texas on their helmets was just weird:

yhst-95292581096065_2071_38415321

and the Denver Broncos throwback uniforms are just don't look right:

I guess I'm just not used to looking at the TV and having to stop and figure out what teams are playing.

We can inspire others through witness so that one grows together in communicating. But the worst thing of all is religious proselytism, which paralyzes: “I am talking with you in order to persuade you.” No. Each person dialogues, starting with his and her own identity. The church grows by attraction, not proselytizing.    - Pope Francis

That almost looks like the California Redwoods uniform colors from the new and soon to be defunct UFL.  God-awful florescent green uniforms...

Thanks for the quote tutorial, should have figured it would be something slap-in-the-face obvious 3.gif

The Cowboys are not a playoff team if they are going to barely pull out a win against the winless Kansas City Texans. Jason Garret is baad, and the defense can always be counted on to choke in key defensive situations (think Baltimore last year, Giants in stadium debut).

Bills are terribad. How do they lose 3-6? To the Browns!?! I seriously thought the Browns might go winless this year.

Another year, another chance for the patriots to get screwed over by the NFL's overtime system.

First of all, they shouldn't have been in overtime cause tom brady missed welker wide open down the field with 2 minutes left in the game, but seriously, when is the NFL going to fix its ridiculous overtime format. Do they think that 60 minutes of football should really be determined by a coin toss? its a huge mental boost for a team when they know that they only have to go 30-40 yards, then they can kick a field goal and win the game...

I am completely in favor of changing to the college football overtime system, it seems that i make this post everyyear [last year though, the patriots had the jets in 3rd and 24 and the jets converted so that one was really their fault].

Anyways Pats 3-2, not in a bad situation, but also everything is not all happy and merry too. however, the schedule gets really easy from here for a while, the big challenge really is going to London, but then they have a bye week after that.

What???? I turned the game off in 3rd quarter, because New England was up 17-7!!! Tom Brady is my fantasy QB, so this is not good! How did this happen? A New England fan needs to give me a good explanation. Not to mention, I picked the Patriots to win the game! Ugh!

they have to have made some  decsion as to what uniforms they had to wear. Im thinking the they made them wear the 1st uniform they had, no matter how awefull it looked. B@W TV is more forgiving then HD.

    But seriously The refs Win.

I couldnt find a pic of the old striped Whataburger uniform, mabey noone ever got a pic wearing one. I know i would have destroyed any of me in in one.

Well, Pats are up 17-7, Broncos got a field goal, pats missed a field goal, ball goes back and forth for a few possessions, Broncos score a TD, tied at 17-17, Pats get the ball with 2 minutes left, Brady misses a wide open welker over the middle of the field, behind everybody.

Overtime. Broncos win the coin toss, kick a field goal, win.

Dude, I understand your frustration, but there is no way the NFL is going to change the way OT is handled.  I don't see anything wrong or one-sided about how it's done.  You have a 50-50 chance to win or lose the game which last time I checked, was about as fair as you could get.  Now if Denver got to call the coin toss, then yes, that was not cool, the visiting team should get that call, after all, the home team should be gracious hosts.

Getting to Week #5, oooh boy did I suck this week18.gif  Like GreekMan said, you pick the dominate teams and most of them had an off week45.gif

Weeke #5 results through Sunday Night:

    1. Krypto          9-4

    1. jollybob       9-4

    3. easybakes 8-5

    4. simshady   7-6

    4. Greekman  7-6

    6. blade2k5    6-7

Congrats to jollybob for his impressive first week44.gif and to Krypto for taking over sole possesion of 1st place and knocking me down a notch.

    I feel you Greekman 3.gif

Hopefully this MNF game can get me to 8-6. My problem is that I can't read the Patriots or the Texans. One correct pick from the two of them this season...0-5 on the Texans. The irony of that is that my roomate is a diehard Texans fan who follows them super closely...he has become pretty disenchanted with them with their maddening inconsistencies.

Arg don't you always hate it when your team has its bye? Excrutiatingly long between games.

At least the timing of this bye is good for Dallas with three of its offensive line men hurting (Gurode, Adams, Davis), two running backs hurting (Barber, Felix), one wideout hurting (Williams...not worth the 1st rounder, 3rd rounder, and 6th rounder we traded for him....), one safety (Sensabaugh), one cornerback (Newman).

Looks like the Cowboys are going to sign Allen Rossum, who was cut by the 49ners to make room on their roster for newly signed Michael Crabtree. It is a good signing for the Cowboys who lack a legitimate punt returner and have one explosive kick returner who can't stay healthy. I would have rather seen the Cowboys call up Jesse Holley to reurn kicks, oh well, playing it safe isn't bad either.

    Expletive 32.gif

forgot to do my picks last night [although i have an excuse, i was mentally scarred by a horrible movie]

Anyways, if they will be accepted late [promise I haven't watched sportscenter or anything, i woke up 10 minutes ago17.gif]

    Winners in bold.

Redskins over Chiefs in the native american bowl.

Carolina over Tampa "hey, at least we get a free trip to london" Buccaneers.

New York Football Giants over New Orleans Saints [hardest game to pick this week?]

    Houston over cincinatti.

    Pittsburg big over Cleveland

Minnesota over Baltimore [baltimore would be a fun pick though]

Green Bay over Detroit [at this point i just feel bad for the city]

Philly over Oakland...how difficult was this one...

    New England over 0-10esee

J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS over Bills.

    Arizona over Seattle.

    ATL over Chi-town

    San Diego over Denver

I have a feeling this is the week i blow my lead. tough selection.

New England is going to be playing In England next week. The newspaper is going to have a field day with that....

hmm...I still have not picked the Texans right this year...i am 0-6 on them....

Besides that, I have hit every other pick on the head so far 4.gif Do I sense a return to the top for Sim Shady? 3.gif

Is Washington going to fire its coach? Zorn was supposed to improve the offense, and it looks absolutely abysmal

Krypto, JollyBobber: All picks have to be in by 12am Sundays as agreed upon early on in the season.  The games were  posted earlier this week to give everyone ample time to post their picks.  I have also seen both of you on during the week in which you could have posted your picks.  Sorry guys, but it wouldn' be right to bend the rules for any reasons.

Good week so far, only Wash and Cin fumbled today, though in Cincys defense I think losing your leading sacker doesn't do your defense any favors.  There is no defense for Wash, thay are just that bad with no signs of getting any better.
