Very nice, it took a while to read, but it was worth it! When will there be more info about the Opall landing and the new solar system?

Allan Sapporo,Shane Boxx,Thom Yorke,Noori Lecuyer (sorry about mispelling your name) and Chad Benson....welcome to the Next Generation!

pansarkatt and sven, both of your characters are still alive and well and don't worry, you will be present during a part of the next generation.

psssst....superchad, you already said too much!

marvin, if you read it all, I understand why you said that it was kinda long to read. We will hear about Opall and the voyage to the new Solar system from time to time. Everything has its turn.2.gif

Timotheus/timotheus4 confirms...chad, I did the same thing as you, I filled up a page in MS Word 12 point type regarding my character and sent him three followup PMs to make last minute appendices.48.gifDon't know how much of it will make it into the story but I'm ready and waiting!

I might or might not follow up your recommandations for your character, all depending how the life of this individual turns out.I will keep the basics though and do my best for this Sim to have a life of his/her expectation.

I am glad when you send me pm's, it gives the story some unexpected surprizes for other readers, but also it gives me ideas.

    Have a good day2.gif

    News from Gloryville:

I just finished Gloryville (the Capitol City) and I am sick of tired to be in this township....lol (too darn many things to see and observe). My wife is starting to think that I wanna move there.21.gif
I took 96 pictures while I was there and then have chosen the best ones, which were 68 pictures. Even this was too much, so I chose again and came up with 59, and believe me that is the best I can do. There's simply too much stuff in that City. (you will not even see everything)15.gif
I have a very powerful computer and at rush hour I can feel a little slowing down of the game sometimes, that's how many different things like props/buildings and Lots and other stuff there is.

    GlorGenCap.JPG

Impossible to upload in one shot, so I will do this in two shots in two different days. So you just have to wait to see the second part(best part...9.gifhehe) of it. The first part will consist of the surroundings of the City, the harbour, parks, residential area,Hospital,Touristic attractions,LBST,Barby's Vacation Center,Gentleman's Club and Industrial Park (only to mention a few) and the second part we will see the whole City, Airport,Central Train and Subway Stations, the commercial Sector, hi-Risers and downtown itself in daytime and at night.

    GlorGenCap2.JPG

Then if you folks don't mind, I will take one week vacation....lol...and believe me , it will not be in Gloryville, but probably somewhere in the Ganoga Valley or....hm.... Oxalis/Megantic sounds nice too.2.gif

    GlorGenCap3.JPG

Now I have to write the darn story that goes along with the pictures (just imagine.....46.gifdoh) and that probably will take a few days too. But I hope that I will be able to upload at least the first part of it this weekend, something like Saturday night or Sunday morning. For the other part, we will see to that later.
I only hope that you all enjoy this wonderful City as I have. I spent many and many hours in this City to make it as wonderful as can be imagined (by me), without exagerating of course. You will see new parklands, new Nexis BATs, other New Bats, many (more than 50) Nexis custom lots and terraforming on the beaches and harbour that gave me headaches. I expect dozens of comments after all this! (you better!)....lol47.gif

    GlorGenCap4.JPG

Until then, I hope I just made your mouths water...lol...9.gif
    mrb

PS.: Do NOT forget to look at the new generation list on page 59 and confirm49.gif, otherwise I will not include you in the story.!!!

    I'm still here, of course.

Wow, Tenzel Outlet has grown a lot... it was so much nicer a long time ago. I'm glad that I'll be moving to Nintendon soon.

Of course, I can't wait to see the really huge update that you have next for Gloryville! I'm sure it's going to be great.

I can't wait to see what the future holds, it is definitely going to be interesting to discover new planets, and the death of the one where we all came from.

Ok folks , the teasing has ended....29.gif
I will be doing the Gloryville Update in several parts, so you will have something to come back almost everyday. Besides it is too much for one or two uploads and also the writing of the story will get to me sooner or later (so much to see upload and to write). So here is the first Part:

    In the Beginning......

.....there was a hope to find a place to live without fear of being crushed by a meteor, then hope became reality when a blue planet far away almost the same as their home planet was discovered. On that planet was land, good land that could be worked to nourish all our citizens and that land was Genesis. On Genesis there was a place that was chosen for the first visit and that place was called Genesis I, which is today Gloryville, the Capitol of the New World.

Today we will visit the last civilized place on Genesis that we haven't seen yet, or might we say, that we haven't seen since 9 years now. The Capitol!
Gloryville is now the biggest City on Genesis with almost 350,000 population.
Here was the landing of the first Urulian team that arrived almost 100 years ago.The place was just beside the little round lake, that today has become a Natural Park. The first bldg erected here was the science Center, which by the way still exist and we will see it later, since it has been transported to another site in Gloryville.
Gloryville, situated south of Tenzel Harbour, which has become a part of Gloryville, is about to become even bigger, since the demand to fuse with the Capitol from Bolton has been accepted today in the Grand Counsel. Bolton is only separated by a thin strip of forest of less than 50 meters wide (approx 150ft), as we can clearly see on the below Regionmap.

    1A-RegionGloryville.JPG

Here on the transportation map, we see that it wasn't easy to find a way to bring in the Highway. First they wanted to run the Highway through Axis City, but too many buildings made it impossible to pass by, then the idea came to line it up in the middle of Bolton, but then again many buildings would have been destroyed and once inside Gloryville, it would have crossed the Natural Park that has been saved from the evil hands of Civilization so far, and that wasn't a good idea neither, because that really would have revolted a lot of sims. So one was built from Bolton south into the City and that wasn't easy because of the rough land. But finnaly they managed to get the darn Highway into the City without doing to much harm and not costing the world. The Highway ends at the International Airport, shown here in dark blue on the southwest of the township.

See you tomorrow evening for a closer look.2.gif

    OMG!

I can't believe it, it's Gloryville! 25.gif Truly the crown jewel of Genesis.

Okay, I'll shut up. Anyways, looking good, but as down said, could it at least be less blurry? 45.gif

The Overview picture was made less clear on purpose, so you don't see all the details right away41.gif.....we will see a clearer one later...promissed!

Here is another update of Gloryville, part 2 of a probable 5.
We all remember the Plaisance Harbour of the Capitol of course, situated in the middle of the City, well it hasn't changed much, except that some more commerces have invaded this area also, like these little Fast food Restaurants. In the surroundings, many of the earlier buildings are still standing and only a part of them have been replaced. So this part of the City should look quite familiar to us.

    1Gloryville-CantinaHarbour.jpg

This is where the news and entertainment are made. R.I.C.O.TV, once started by the late and former Mayor of Axis South, Mr Rico Az. R.I.C.O.TV is still the most important and biggest TV Production on Genesis, although many other TV-Stations have been opened up lately. One of them will soon open in Nexis City and it is run by the newly arrived Sirius Group, the SBS (Sirius Broadcasting Systems). Even Vallen Nexis, who just had his 80th birthday,is planning a TV Station in Grand Dam., N.X.S.TV.
R.I.C.O.TV is situated at the exit of the Plaisance Harbour and just about on the other side of the MacVicar Villa, that Alexander had built some time ago to raise his family of four, but now only he himself and his beloved one year younger wife Lauren are still living here. Even the two youngest of his offsprings, the twins, have moved out and make their living on their own now. We all know that his daughter Sarah is married to Jadis Nexis, son of Troy and probably the sole heritor of the Nexis Corporation Empire. They had their first child now, a girl in the name of Detta Lee Nexis/MacVicar. (...and the Nexis family continues...) I wonder what's it like to be born as a member of the richest ever family ever known on Genesis and Uru combined.....

    2Gloryville-PlaisHarbour.jpg

A view from the top of the new Nexis Electronics Headquarters, the highest Building in Gloryville, onto the Plaisance harbour, shows us the quiet part of the never sleeping and active City. Again here we see the MacVicar Mansion and also the *Little Blue House*, that was moved from the MacVicar's lot and it is very well known now.

    3Gloryville-McVicar.jpg

The *Little Blue House* once was a Main-subject in Gloryville, when it was still standing on the today's MacVicar's lot. Alexander bought this place to make room for his mansion. It was one of the first permanent homes in Gloryville and he was about to bulldoze it when some readers and the Barby Historical and Park Society jumped in to save that building as a patrimonial historical site. Some heavy discussions started all over the town and MacVicar, who had the money to do so, had no other choice (to save his name) than to move this *Little Blue House* to a neighboring lot, where it still stands today. Now it is a historical site that can be visited on weekends.

    4Gloryville-littleBlueHouse.jpg

As we said in the earlier update of Gloryville, the first permanent and solid building on Genesis was the Science Center. Since downtown was growing so heavily in the last 8 years, it had to be moved to be preserved and once again, the Barby historical and Park Society  had made it possible to preserve this precious souvenir of the Genesian Past.
Just beside it will be the new Science Center, which the construction is already in progress. Some say that this will be a very futuristic building with a Gaburan style, something we haven't yet seen.

    5Gloryville-ScienceCtr.jpg

Not in the Midlle of the City, as we all might expect it, but just outside of the City and near the Stadium , is the Central Train Station. From here you can go anywhere on this planet,at least where there are traintracks. The Station was built and financed by the Nexis Railways, which Vallen Nexis' daighter Lyll is the owner of. Nexis Railway Systems (NRS) has just about started two new ways to travel on rails and its first invention will be seen in the next update, the elevated rails and the rails underground, which is called Subwa

    6Gloryville-CentrStation.jpg

The first church in Gloryville still stands in the same place, just below the cliff of the Gloryville Hill, where the LBST is situated. Downtown has come close and once there was a question to demolish it and make room for more important buildings and build a new one just on the edge of the Downtown. But things turned out that it was better to leave it as is and build Downtown asround it. Not far from here, and we see only a tiny part of it on the left upper corner of the picture, is the Replica of the Space Station Nexis I. This one was decided to move though, probably even to another township. The Mayor of Nintendon, Mr Ninten himself, has filed in the damand to have this Touristic attraction in his newly formed town. In its place, Gloryville will build the new Regional Administration Office, as the old one now has become a little too crowded, some say.
It is amazing how some people manage to have a home in places where construction is prohibited or otherwise impossible to own. A good example is the little Cottage we see on the right of this picture, that was built just on the edge of the hill overlooking downtown. This is which is supposed to be a Part of the Naturtal Gloryville Park. I have no idea who resides here, but I will surely find out.

    7Gloryville-ChaletsurMont..jpg

Here is a closer look of the *House on the Rocks* on forbidden Land. The road leads to the LBST (Lazor Beam Space Traveler) where hundreds of immigrants arrive daily from Uru.

    8Gloryville-ChaletsurMont.Close.jpg

And here is a last picture of Gloryville today. This is why Gloryville has so many residents. Although on the region view , it looks smaller that Axis South and Axis City. The residential areas of the Capitol surround the City in all directions and they are as dense as we see here. Thousands of Appartments are occupied and it is close to impossible, unless being rich, to get a place to live here. More than 50,000 demands from Uru of immigration to the Capitol city were refused last year only and more will be done this year. Construction will though continue to do its best to keep up with at least 10 % of the needs. This of course is excellent for the economy of the Capitol and of course for the neighbors also, which are taking full profit of the situation and grow rapidly also. Just have a look at Bolton, Axis South, White Sands and Tenzel Outlet and what has become of these former small villages.!

    9Gloryville-Apparts.jpg

I know , I didn't show you the best parts yet, but be patient, they will come, bits by bits.....and no20.gif.... I am not a monster (* looking in the mirror and making sure that he is not*) ,but someone who likes to presents his CJ with suspense and anxiety , only to make it more attractive and interesting to visit and read.
Have you all a nice weekend now, I'll be back with more within the next two days.2.gif

1.gifThe boats in the canals are some of the 89 unique Nexis customlots that are in this City only (total of 700+ in the entire region). You can see 18 of these lots in the last updated pictures. There are also 14 Nexis Bats in this city (total of 124 in the entire region), two of them shown in the last update, the Science Center and the *house on the rocks*.

Many more to come, believe me....21.gif
