rocheforte would cry, im sitting here aving a minor episode just looking a thtat last picture and all that leaps into my head is having a diagonal elevated going over the half elevated stuff over a freeway so like diagonal road over avenue over freeway. cos that would make me cry, even though i know the pathing in the lot editor is impossible but heck i thought half the stuff you do was impossible before.... so how do you set the height for the automata?

Hi Buddybud !

I was building my first sunken highway with the rural highwaywall lots today and i just wanted to write how great these lots are and how well thought out all the diffrent options with bridges and walls are. They look really great.

But i also have a little question and i hope its okay to post it in this thread. (if theres a special thread for the rural highwaywalls iam sorry.

My Question is : when i am building off- and onramps on the sunken highway and use your ramp walls i get little grafic failure at the bottom of the ramps (in the red circle of the picture).

Just wanted to ask if you have a idea where that could come from. One time it was all correct but i dont know why. Now i always get this little failure. Maybe you have a little help for me.

PS. I use , of course , the hole digger lots, so the level terrain is all correct.

Thank you

bye

ruhl

ruhlcore,

You're using the wrong hole digging lot. You'd be using the 15m hole, use the sunken road lot, to get a depth of 14 meters which is what Buddybud has designed these lots to be used with. It is mentioned numerous times previously in this thread, and on the download page on the STEX.

How are you guys able to make those on and offramps without changing the terrain? When I place a ramp the whole area around the ramp lowers and makes the sunker highway really ugly. How do you keep up the terrain height when placing ramps?

Thanks in advance,

MasterPie: use the single sided ramps, the icon just below the custom interchanges in the highway menu

Thanks for the help Lord Kronos. Now its working.19.gif All the time ive red "road digging lots" i thought the digging lots in general were meant not the actual "road" digging lot.

Now its working. Great lots buddybud.35.gif

sorry folks been busy....hope to get more done on my days off coming up

    sim shady thanx as always.

freedo50......lets name this new layer the bud zone....cheers

dark_jedi06...thanx and it wont be a problem. the structure of the tunnel portal is seperate from the texture....only one building model for each type of entrance that way. therefor the network tile is a simple render and can easily be substituted. ill see what i can do.

bongoswimp.....thankyou...still a bit of ways to go....almost there

rodent1989...enjoy the trip...lol...i am not worthy of your unworthyness

    mulefisk ....thankyou

dexter....yes blahdy's work is much appreciated....and no this thread is mostly about what we like to call "Eyecandy" but has evolved into what i like to call  "Somewhat Functional Eyecandy™"...

    Sim shady ...agreed

TinySim....actually theres quite a bit of modding involved but i generally dont discuss it....

icons, ui's, transit enabling, overhanging props with nightlighs, pathing, etc all require modding...but yes i concur.

    rooker1 thanx

    tommij.......thanx

mighty goose ....i think that would be possible. it would involve diagnal transit enabling and pathing .....and then some clever models.....but i dont see that happening here for now....automata height is set in the path files for what im doing....i havent learnt about rul files yet so im so sure about those.

    ruhlcore, masterpie....glad it worked out

    lord kronos, metasmurf,...thanks for helping

    davidtothej.....no

    just a couple screenies

this is some of the dual network pieces in use. 1x2 rail entrance and a 2x2 ave-rail director lot, a 1x2 avenue entrance and a 2x2 ave-ave director lot, and a 1x2 highway entrance and a 2x2 ave-hwy director lot...all nicely stacked to create a unique interchange..

    uberdirector1rl5.jpg

and some night light close ups...

thanks to a technique smoncrie showed me a while back i was able to fix all my night lighs...

    ^ ^ ditto

gotta love those triple-stacks, the shorter overpass height makes it look very realistic. Beautiful job on the nightlights too.

They look really good, and we are on page 30 now, those others went quick!

Do you plan on releasing some of these anytime soon, or are they still in BETA testing?

Some of them may need updating when blahdy adds the gantries and other changes.

Why does one drive on a parkway and park on a driveway?

Why is delivery by boat called a cargo and one by land called a shipment?

    *croaks*

    okay im back alive now..

I was just wondering.. do you have any plans for more modern versions of these texture-wise? I love the stone and light fixtures but most of my cities that would be out of place. If its not too much trouble would it be possible to make a plain concrete with no extra stuff version?

I sifted through this entire thread, and cannot find any reference to this - but are the underbridge pieces seen in this image available anywhere? I searched STEX and the forum and could not find them 15.gif
