It's been a very long time since I did anything with simcity but I still check out the site almost daily to see what is going on. I saw Columbus and had to look. Map looks great! I am in the Hilliard area now.

I finally was able to donate to this site and was sent the Collection dvd and cd. I was just wondering if there is any quick at a glance icon on STEX that shows if an item is on those discs. The problem is I love the content on the the discs but when I go on the STEX i don't want to download an item not remembering if I have it already or not on the disc. Thanks!

Its icecaps are melting and we don't live there. CO2 can't keep heat in on that planet so something else is happening. However, CO2 can keep heat in here on Earth? The tilt of the earth is wobbling like a top. We just might be at a point where a little more sunlight is hitting the earth in certain places. Solar activity....all the huge storms the sun has sends heat through all those different waves and junk. I am not saying I am right and you are all wrong, I am saying that look at ALL facts not just the ones that support your opinion.

How on earth can they possibly PROVE the earths temeratures have risen. I for one am curios as to why for the last month has northern ohio been below 10 degrees and often well below zero when average temps should be around 20. Do they have thermometers in every possible place on earth measuring temps? Most scientists? Most scientists that have the voice in washington or UN sure. But what about the guys that actually look at facts before they make assumptions. I am not saying they are wrong...maybe it came out that way....I am saying, until there is PROOF I don't belive a word of it. Plus if you take close look at the graphs of temperature and CO2 levels year to year and not over the course of 500 million years or whatever that wack job gore says....they are rarely if ever a match. Sometimes CO2 is up and temp is down or vice versa. The Earth is constantly changing and who is to say that what is happening isn't natural. I belive it is. I do believe that pollution is having a negative effect but global warming is pish posh. Besides, it is the same scientists that 30 years ago said we were cooling down. The same guys that can't figure out what is going to happen 12 hours from now but know for a "fact" that 200 years from now it will average 1.5 degrees warmer than today. I for one am not excited about hippies running the world. How bad would that be. Nothing against the beliefs but until what they are "claiming" is PROVEN true then why should our entire way of life be changed. I heard another thing the other day. If everyone in the U.S. started riding bikes instead of driving, and all of china's factories shut down and there was something with Europe shutting down something, then "Global Warming" would still continue. Nothing we can do will reverse it except, go back to the stone age and give up on all technology, oh and don't burn a fire to keep warm cause that pollutes too!

I have heard Mars' icecaps are melting at a rate of 10 feet per year. Boy I guess us HUMANS have something to do with that too! And I have also heard that the whole CO2 problem that is "trapping" heat in our atmosphere is not able to trap it on other planets so they stay colder than they should. Also, that humans produce a whopping 2% of the CO2 in the atmosphere. Sounds like some scary numbers to me. Look at solar activity, the tilt of the planet. It is just a bunch of bull so some hippie loving tree huggers can impose restrictions on your lifestyle. SCREW it. I don't believe anything that comes from the UN or Washington because it is a bunch of clueless retards talking about something they have no idea about.

I have no knowledge of this stuff at all otherwise I would be more than willing to work on it. I think it is a great idea and would be a fantastic addition for anyone with the huge plugin folder "problem"

Yeah, I have so many ideas for improvements to the game that it would be like 3 new games into one. There is a lot to improve upon and I just listed a few ideas of my biggest concerns. But I am sure that anything they do.....well almost anything...will be an improvement. I really hope they listen to the players and implement some of our ideas. Maybe they should get a webpage set up for us to drop our ideas on them so they can collect them all in one place and therefore have a better idea of what we want more than others.

These are awesome. They are kind of inspirational. They give you a feel for a certain type of city. This last one reminds me of a Kickboxer movie....with van dam. Kind of asian sound to it.

Is this stuff downloadable yet? I mean the stuff on this page.

I think that the current version is almost perfect. Obviously upgrad in graphics would be great but in my mind not exactly required as most things look pretty impressive. I would love to see graphics in the range of some of the photoshoped pics that so many people are excellent at making in game screen shots look like a post card. Other than graphics though region play needs a massive overhaul. I can't stand having to grow other cities to create demand, or rather I hate how un-userfriendly the process is......save city, exit city, load a new city, make sure borders line up terrain, make sure you zone correctly and the correct buildings grow or in region view the border is clearly defined. I think that a true city should be able to incorporate other cities and although not necessarily be able to load bigger maps, but maybe to be able to see the borders of the surrounding tiles and not just the edge bordered cities. Maybe about 20 tiles or so all the way around the current city. I think that if the whole region advanced in time at the same rate things would line up better. If you go from one city you have been playing for 100 years and now want to create another city next door, all it really does is create demand for the current city. I think it should be more complex but that is a post in itself. I like what spore could possibly bring to the table with the new "learning" code that Will Wright talked about. I also think that the grid needs to go. I honestly do not believe it would be that difficult to have that in the game. With 360 degrees of rotation though the graphics card might be a little taxed. I would also like to see things evolve evenly. When a building grows in simcity it can be quickly replaced by something else. I think that should be taken away and once something grows it is there till the mayor destroys it. Nowhere on earth does a house get built just for another house to replace it less that a year later. I would also love to see some sort of auto update feature for custom content. Much like what spore does. However, I would like to have a choice. You are presented with what is new since your last update and you have the choice to get it or not to get it. I have way to much to say but I will end it now. Maybe come back later and put more down.

yeah, i use the other keys extensively too. I just must not be meeting the criteria for it to be able to change direction. Thanks for the info though, I'll play with it some more and maybe get it to work for me. Thanks again
