Beautiful city, I know I couldn't do better

Where did you get the round orange tower, I've been looking for something like that.

I've been in Florida for the past week and neglected to update before I left! Sorry guys! But now your in store for Update 1 of Kitami. This will be a massive update with a lot of pictures so hold on tight.

We will start off in the Sapporo Capital District. At the end of the 1.5km strand of Odori Park, lies International Square and Capital Complex. The Complex is quite small to be a National Capital but other important Capital venues are scattered throughout the city which I  will show later, but first Kitami's Capital:

    Sapporo-Jun-1.jpg

    Side View:

    Sappopopoporo-Jun-1.jpg

International Square and the end of Odori Park:

    Sappblahgahpfforo-Jun-1.jpg

Right next door in the midst of Japanese Wall to Walls and Foreign Markets lies the Foreign Affairs Building. The Foreign Affairs building was built in the late 1950s in the Brutalist style. A new smaller affairs building to house conferences was constructed next door:

    Sapporo-JuCAPn-1.jpg

Surrounding the building above lie thriving markets and shops. Many governmental workers spend their lunch breaks venturing out into the international abyss:

    98688448.jpg

More of the area with a towering residential building and a peaceful sunken park:

    8a8b89ea.jpg

The residential tower lies next to one of the busiest highways in the city which connects Sapporo to the outlying Port Cities on the Western Hokkaido Coast. Also the tower clashes with some of Sapporo's oldest neighborhoods just across from the highway:

    e6a5a9d8.jpg

Moving up the highway more traffic and communal residential blocks can be found:

    aac12a39.jpg

As we continue our Journey along the highway and out of the downtown center of Sapporo we reach the Riverwalk neighborhood. A Residential boom in the late 80s and early 90s prompted many developers to seek desirable semi-urban land. They found the areas along the main canal would suffice for initial development. After the first complex of towers were completed many other developers jumped into the area to also claim stakes at some of the city's most desired area to live. At this spot developers built some of Sapporo's most vibrant residential structures in the city:

Just nearby a massive Sapporo Metro Station was built to ship passengers in city to connect to other various lines. This spur line to the Riverwalk neighborhood became so popular that a fitness club along with other retail were added on:

    Wow, nice.

    You've got me beat bad.

I have been to Japan so many times to visit my family, and your city looks alot like Japan.

What tree controller do you use, if any? That's been bugging me since all tree controllers that I seen, some dependencies are not available to go with it.

You have done a great job with it so keep up the good work.

Somethign feels like it is missing though...

Oh! Another great Japanese-themed CJ! Nice work!

I really like the buildings you have used and the way you have planned the city. My favorite picture has to be international square.

Wow...you are getting better and better connorc24.

Love the High walls, low walls, sunken walls, upper plazas. Great combo and the texture by doing what you did with the walls puts perspective.

    Looks Great Friend!

Kitami is looking really good Connor.  Your city planning is very good indeed.  Some of my favourite touches are the sunken avenue with road bridge over; the suburbs area with the orange, green and blue roofs; the canal side developments and the Old Hokkaido Building.

I look forward to popping back to see more of your city.
