Hey guys. I love seeing people getting creative for their cities.

Here is the flag for the Kingdom of Bradonia. I hope to get a CJ going when I get back to the States at the end of the year. I have been in the UK since September. The laptop is not being very friendly with the large regions I am working on

Here is the flag of Ainkien and the Nalsa Islands. I always feel like I should clarify that I'm not making some sort of UK-Ireland political statement. I just love the union jack, I like that it's a combination of three crosses, and green and orange are my favourite colours. It turns out that this flag has been very easy to translate into "spin-off" flags (see the Nalsa Islands flag) and it's easy to photoshop when you can start with the true union jack as a template.

The Ainkien Jack (also called the Green Jack): The Flag of Ainkien

The three crosses represent the three churches that were instrumental in setting up Ainkien Society: the Anglican Communion, the Roman Catholic Church and the Lutheran Church. The number three is also important in Ainkien history (see my CJ). Green represents the Earth and ecology while orange represents the future and technology.

The large star represents Grand Nalsa island while the two smaller stars represent the two small island groups both east of and southwest of Grand Nalsa Island.

It is for my city journal, Greenwich. The Green is for the large subalpine fir forests that stretch all over the open frontier. The two stars represent Freedom and Justice. The white represents peace, the blue represents the ocean and the Greenwich River. The large cross is for the unity of the republic.

This is the flag I have created for the Virginia Republic, my new CJ.

The Black symbolizes the strength of the republic and it's government. The white symbolizes the strength and beauty which it's citizens and cities bring to the country that without the citizens and cities the government would have nothing to govern. Finally, the red on the bottom symbolizes the blood shed through war to protect the country at all cost. Without the countries armed forces the great society may never have come into existance. There are three stars in the center of the flag. The one on the left represents Mt. Washoe, the one in the center represents the capitol city of Shiloh. Finally, the one on the right represents the shore. The bird at the top left corner is a chickadee bird which is the countries national bird.

Here's the current official flag of Alarconia (officially Atlantic Democratic Republic of Alarconia), from 1715-1936 and 1975-today.

This was the flag the Founders designed in 1715, using the symbols they knew. The four red stripes are part of Founders' Catalan heritage and they added the dark blue part meaning the ocean they had crossed and where Alarconia is placed. This flag was official until 1936.

The coup-d'êtat that leaded to Spanish Civil War in 1936 was the beggining of the end of the II Spanish Republic, which symbolic colour was the purple. Francisco Franco's dictatorship ended with all Catalan symbols and language and from 1939 to 1975 they were only kept in Andorra and Alarconia.

As a protest act, Alarconia changed its flag, denying Franco's new goverment and claiming Republic's legitimity. A new age of Enlightment come from Spain, because lots of artists exiliated to Alarconia. This was the official flag of Alarconia from 1936 to 1975, with the purple colour honouring II Republic's ideas:

In 1975, with Franco's death, Alarconia changed its flag again, and restablished the former dark blue colour; celebrating the new born democracy in Spain and Catalonia.

The Federal State of Arlena

State Flag

The Blue represents the water surrounding the state (its on an island) and it's naval power. The scale in the

middle stands for our free and fair country and it is golden/yellow to represent the will of the hard-working, like the Hammer and Sickle of Communism.

Coat of Arms

The sun represents the dawn of a better day tomorrow. The dove is the universial symbol of peace and Arlena will only go to war if absolutly nessesary. The colors and scale of the shield is the same as before.

Both are taken from the flag of Argentina and our coat of arms.

Sphinx

The sphinx stands (obviously -.-) for the name of the city, the phoenix for the name of the country it's the capital of: Phoenixia

"Luctor et emergo" means something like "I struggle and rise to the surface"
