It's really too bad that no one sees the greatness that is my avatar... The black Spider-Man suit is awesome and looks fantastic because, let's be honest here, there's no such thing as "the new black," or whatever nonsense they say on Project Runway or whatever. I suppose I could have some animation, but that's never been a requirement for awesome...

I stopped using Lichtenstein's 'As I Opened Fire' painting because it really suffered to be shrunk down so much, you couldn't see what it was. It looked like a mess of color.

No one has my avatar, no one knows what my avatar is, I don't really. But i guess I have the best way I got this avatar! *ahem* While on vacation in Washington DC, we saw all the usual museum and monuments and all that jazz. When we were crossing the street in front of the Smithsonian castle when I looked down and saw this "thing" painted on the ground in yellow street paint (the kind they use for center lines). The next day I was in charge of the camera and, as we crossed that street again, I snapped a picture of my new avatar. Of course I popped it into photoshop and cleaned it up, but its still the same bizzare thing that I still cant identify.

I kinda like it though =P

I tend to use avatars based my family's  interests, be it geese, pegasus, Thomas the Tank Engine, or butterflies. (I'll never do one of Hannah Montana though! )   

The current one is from one of my wife's favorite paintings we have at our house.  She found an online picture of "Little Flower" by the late African American artist Carl Owens.
