Cities XL's graphics look very bland, the lack of zoning is what drove me away from this game. Hopefully SC13 will be much better.

Not sure if I am right but "sidewalks" are 2m wide. So I would assume the distance will be 16+4=20. That is if you use the standard 1x1 tile for the tracks.

skyscraper - SIM CITY VENUS-PROJECT (Coming 2013)
SimRabbit replied to skyscraper's topic in SC4 BAT & Lot Workshop
That is pretty impressive skyscraper. I have been a fan of your work ever since you worked with GMAX. Now your buildings look even better with 3ds MAX. -
Here's a teaser of the latest project I have been working. Based on the 801 Grand... link Not an exact replica.

sc4bat/gmax crash with certain models
SimRabbit replied to Follarch's topic in SC4 BAT & Lot Workshop
Check if the objects are in Editable Poly. This mode tends to cause gmax to crash. -

My BAT thread (sort of)! If you have a problem with my previous files this is the right place to post. Anyways I have decided to comeback to the SC4 community and hoping to contribute some of my work to the community. I'll be doing anything I want, mostly retail shops and maybe a couple of skycrapers. Currently using GMax/BAT but will soon upgrade to 3dsMAX -------------------------------------------------------------------- My current work on the STEX Leever and Associates VanDom Corporation Carolton Fire Department NDEX SR Brunel Tower NDEX SR North Point Tower NDEX SR 76 Financial Center 1 NDEX SR Southern Bank NDEX SR Vendel Tower NDEX SR WGD Building NDEX SR Del Mar Hotel NDEX SR West Side Residence NDEX SR Eblem Tower NDEX SR 64th Avenue Building NDEX SR South Wacker Street Building 1 Wolf Plaza Arby's

Arby's® is the place for people hungering for a unique, better tasting alternative to traditional fast food. It's the favorite place for people who crave something different and better. Serving one-of-a-kind menu items, Arby's is well known for slow-roasted and freshly sliced roast beef sandwiches and famous Market Fresh sandwiches, wraps and salads, made with wholesome ingredients and served with the convenience of a drive-thru. This comes with a Landmark ploppable and a growable C$$ lot. Lot size for Plop is 5x3 and Growable version is 4x2. It costs 100 to build, 10 to demolish. Very low pollution levels and 10 energy/3 water consumption. The growable version provides 20 Low Commercial Service jobs and 5 Medium Commercial Service jobs. I couldn't make a C$$ Ploppable lot because SC4PIM(X-tool) doesn't work with my Windows 7 64bit SP1 system. If I find a solution to this problem, Ill update this file and include a C$$ ploppable lot. This is my first BAT after a long hiatus. I made this specific building because its one of my favorite restaurants in real life (and to get familiar with the BAT.- 19 Comments

I prefer the open countryside of GTA San Andreas over the urban jungle of IV.

Its not dead, infact many people NOT registered on this site still play it. Some schools now have SC4 installed in certain computers. It's still on sale in many places AFAIK in bundles. Personally, I stopped playing after losing my Plugins collection and I am too lazy to download/install especially those exe installers...ugh.

California's Prop 19 discussion thread
SimRabbit replied to nathanthemayor's topic in Current Events
I am all for legalization. I am sure it will solve the financial issues on many states like Cali by taxing a widely used product. The people should have the freedom to do whatever they please as long as it doesn't affect the life of others. All the money spent on a worthless war known as the "War on Drugs" should be spent on better things. The government knows they will never win this war, we should bring the "weed" analogy and contrast. By weed I do not mean the drug, rather than the unwanted plants that grow anywhere. Going after the drug dealers is like mowing down the "weed". Going after a whole drug ring is like taking the "weed" by the root. The "weed" may be gone but that doesn't mean another "weed" will take the empty space. If the land is well irrigated (drug demand) it is prone to more weeds (drug dealers). It's like they never learn from their mistakes, this is Prohibition 2.0 like someone said in this thread. I do suspect the tobacco companies are lobbying the government agencies to keep marijuana use illicit. Don't quote me on this. BTW, I am not a marijuana user, never have, never will. Same for alcohol, tobacco and other substances. I hope I can always stick to this pledge. -
3D Pinball for Windows High Scores and General Discussion
SimRabbit replied to nathanthemayor's topic in Gaming Talk
Although I never played it at home, it was a very entertaining game at the school computer lab. Highest score I remember is 12,000,000. -
A couple of days ago I read that NK is experiencing economic problems and their currency lost value. They are apparent using propaganda to encourage workers to work harder. But these things are nothing new, the economic problems, peace talks, ship sinking etc etc
