                WELCOME TO VIRGINIA BEACH, VA!!!!

Well, this is my first City Journal ever. I welcome you to my hometown of Virginia Beach, Virginia. Home of: five milatary bases which are Naval Amphibious Base (NAB) Little Creek, NAB Back Bay, NAB Dam Neck,  Naval Station(NS)Norfolk/VA Beach, and Naval Air Station(NAS)Oceana. Also the city has the 2nd best boardwalk in the U.S., largest city in the state of Virginia(pop.498,849), and a new project called "The Town Center"and its buildings are in the STEX under in the VA Beach catagory which is complete. It consists of:a 30-story office tower with a Channel 3 TV news studio,7 floor parking garage,10 resturants.A big performing arts theater(not in STEX), a Dick's sporting goods store with parking garage(in STEX), and a 60-story hotel(not in STEX). Well, here it is and it starts in the year 1969 where Princess County and VA Beach combined to become VIRGINIA BEACH!!!!!

Good to see you started your CJ. If you didn't convert the images from png to jpg, that's why we can't see them. I hope you've used the boardwalk pieces by PEG and Sim Military packs from SC4D though.

I've had advice to test photos in you private topics folder. Don't sweat it I did this a few times my self. I used to live in Norfolk so make you put in Chichos Pizza.

Open them with a photo editor (photoshop, GIMP, or even MS Paint)

Choose Save As, and select jpg

Upload them to picture hosting sites like photobucket or imageshack

Then you'll be all set

Well some truth, I actually live in Campbell County, TN. With a population of less than 10,000. And VA Beach has a pop. between 450,000 to 500,000. As you know for the people in the Hampton Roads area, I MISS LIVING THERE!!!!

Friend. Your CJ sounds promising. I suggest saving your pics "AS IS" and give them a JPEG. Then they will work under a photo hosting site. PM if you want specific help.

Again, I'm very eager to see this as while I don't live in Hampton Roads I've been there numerous times.

Anyhow, to make sure the pictures are showing up, open them in MS-Paint and save-as JPG file. Then when you're writing an update, upload your pictures to imageshack (www.imageshack.us) and copy and paste the link to the full picture into the picture icon dialogue box. Also make sure that your pictures are 800x600. If you press space 5 times when taking pictures in-game, that selects an area exactly 800x600.

Just some suggestions, if you need more help I'd consult the "Guide to Creating a City Journal" (https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=36&threadid=84296&enterthread=y) which has directions on uploading pictures. PM me if you need other help!

ok just to help, after u take ur pictures, go to the albums folder and save as them all. When u do this, it should say what format it will be saved as at the bottom of the window, (in windows at least). Change that from png. to jpeg.

If u get it to work, edit ur post with the new pictures

you yourself can see the pictures because they are on your pc, but for us, it's impossible to see them

oi dude ill explain everything to you... and calm down...

we don't care about bat's alright. nor do we care about what your working on(unless its SC4) just as long as we get to see your wonderful city.

now listen carefully.

go to paint (you have paint right)

then open the picture you want

then got to file, SAVE AS then in one of those open things there should be like jpeg, jpg, etc and save it as that

then do what you normally do with your pictures (photobucket or whatever) alright and if you still don't know what to do then i can't help and neither can anyone else.
